Johnson & George Mitchell’s New Year’s eve Wedding at the McLean Garden’s Ballroom. The performance included a ‘crash’ salsa lesson in the break and a Second Line band to close it off. We had Happy New 2007! Up ahead …. We finally finished John’s Re- Creation Jazz CD. It took us a little over a year to complete, but we’re quite happy with it. We have a Pre- release version we have been giving away and will be selling the CD at $15. Let us know if you would like to order any. The Re-Creation CD includes “The Christmas Song” part of the Christmas CD recorded in Marcus Johnson's Three Keys Music studio in Silver Springs. This CD was sponsored by the Office of Institutional Advancement of Montgomery College as an institutional CD. been preparing and rehearsing hard for this performance, and it was all successful and memorable! Thank you Lisa, Quanisha, Tanita, Kelvin, Joshua, George, Hope, Solomon, Julie, Ralph, Pete, Dave, West & Wilson for your musical talent and teamwork! We are also proud to announce that John has been awarded the Katrina Relief Fund Scholarship for Fall 2006 and Spring 2007! This covers all tuition fees for three full time courses! Thank you Montgomery College for extraordinary support! For those of you have noticed we have new email addresses: [email protected] and [email protected] as part of our new internet presence. Besides our gigmaster’s websites, we have created a www.raddy.biz website to host music, images, videos and this newsletter! On Friday January the 26 th Raddy and the Cats will be performing at the Steak and Ale Restaurant, 60 W. Timonium Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 from 6 pm. to 9pm. More info with Ms. Lisa Clark (410) 252-6800. This performance, will be followed by another one the next day (Saturday Jan 27 th ) in Visaggio’s (near Harrisburg, PA). This is a closed corporate party celebration for Global Data Consultants. In February we have been invited to participate in events programmed for Black History Month, details to come. March looks pretty busy (including a possible Mardi Gras party for a retirement community) with lots of weddings and parties ahead. In addition to all of this, John keeps busy as a full time Music student in Montgomery College (his GPA is still 3.5!), as instructor (voice, piano, drums, percussion) in all modalities: mobile, in The School of Music and in his private studio. Maria is starting to “brew” her latin band ‘La Clave’ and will start rehearsals by the beginning of February when we come back from a couple of ‘forced’ trips to New Orleans. ‘Cali Pachanguero’ is one of the tunes we will start with!
