school carpark.

Please also be very careful when backing out, as chil-

Dental Health Week. 6 – 12 August 2018.

For life long healthy teeth, it is essential for children to establish a good oral hygiene routine early in life.

Did you know all children aged 12 and under are eligible for bulk billed basic dental services at Bendigo Health

with no out of pocket costs? Children aged between 13 and 17 can access our services if they have a Health Care

Card, Pensioner Concession Card or if they are eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme through Medicare.

Phone 5454 7994 to make an appointment for your child or for more information.

Parent Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents think of our school. The Parent Opinion Survey is an

annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is conducted amongst a sample of ran-

domly selected parents. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents’ perceptions of

school climate, student behaviour and student engagement. Our school will use the survey results to help inform

and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

Approximately 30 per cent of parents will be invited to participate in this year’s survey. All responses to the sur-

vey are anonymous. This year the Parent Opinion Survey will be conducted from Monday 23rd July to Sunday

26th August.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any conven-

ient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

The survey results will be reported back to the school at the end of September.

Please speak to your child’s teacher if you would like more information.

Absent from School?

Please let your child’s classroom teacher or the office

staff know if your child is absent for any reason.

As soon as rolls are marked in the morning you will

receive a text message if your child is absent without a

reason.

Asthma

For those students with Asthma please ensure the school has a labelled Ventolin and spacer (if required) provided. We are unable to supply a reusable spacer for students at school. The school has purchased disposable spacers. If your child requires the use of a spacer please note an invoice will be sent home accordingly.

Head lice

Please continue to check your child/children’s hair

regularly for head lice and treat accordingly.

Our head lice checks will re-commence soon.
