August 2016, Issue 3.08 As with every month, we are cover what's new with Mis- fit Studios, this month’s new products, and details on our August 2016 discount promotion. Read on for details! What's Going On with Misfit Studios As usual, in July Misfit Studios released a number of great stock art pieces from our artist partners. Otherwise, our focus on projects in progress saw very lile gaming material released. Of greatest note were two releases for the Savage Worlds game, both of which have already prov- en to be popular. This is great because it gives us a reason to switch up game systems we’re focusing on -- sticking with one system for too long becomes stale. Converting DOOM to Mutants & Masterminds 3e is still coming (and probably also to Savage Worlds down the line.) As can happen, slow responses during playtesting cause a shift of focus to other things while our wonderful volunteers catch up with their feedback. And when they do, we’ve suddenly got to switch gears to pump out more con- tent for them to look at. It’s a slow-quick-slow cycle. Still, the work continues and we hope to have an updated version of DOOM out by summer’s end. Misfit Studios in Print Misfit Studios offers a variety of top quality print prod- ucts through Lulu. What's Going On with Misfit Studios

As usual, in July Misfit Studios released a number of great stock art pieces from our artist partners. Otherwise, our focus on projects in progress saw very little gaming material released. Of greatest note were two releases for the Savage Worlds game, both of which have already prov-en to be popular.

And when they do, we’ve suddenly got to switch gears to pump out more con-tent for them to look at. It’s a slow-quick-slow cycle. Still, the work continues and we hope to have an updated version of DOOM out by summer’s end.

Super-Powered: Organizations

Stock #: MIS7045

This installment of our Super-Powered series for the Savage World rules pro-vides rules for designing Organizations following a format very similar to creating characters. Using these rules, organization are quick to build and easy to use in your games in a way that makes sense.

Within this Super-Powered: Organizations PDF you will find a step-by-step process for building organizations. Each organization has attributes, skills, Hin-drances, and Edges, just like characters. However, details like the amount of people in the organization are purposefully kept abstract so you can scale encounters to your group of heroes, no matter how big or small.

Organizations designed with these new rules provide enough substance to get a solid idea of what the group does, what it is capable of, and what its strengths and weaknesses are. However, they remain sufficiently detail-lite to remain adapt-able and not slow down gameplay.

This product includes organization game stats for three previously published organizations, found in other Misfit Stu-dios products: A.E.G.I.S., International CrimePrev Technologies, and Operation: Marshal Law.

Although intended for use in super hero genre games using the Super Powers Companion (Second Edition), Super-Powered: Organizations enables you to build organizations for any genre. Create a brotherhood of space pirates for your science fiction game, for example, or a secret order of assassins for your fantasy game.
