When she met and married Howard, she became a commercial real estate broker and they opened a com- mercial real estate company together. Sheri’s interests include tennis, fitness, dancing, Zumba, Mah Jongg, and she enjoys parcipang in a book club. Sheri also volunteers with the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Foundaon. “I look forward to volunteering every Thursday at the Calabasas Senior Center. I’ve made many new friends and I love seeing how happy people are when they come and parcipate in classes and play cards in the Game Room,” Sheri says. “I also enjoy working with the staff.”

5th Annual Calabasas Special Speaker Series

On Friday, March 15, 2019, 7:30pm, Robert Hilburn will speak about: “Paul Simon—The Life”. The pop music critic for the Los Angeles Times for

nearly 35 years, will examine the personal life of popular musician Paul Simon, including how he protected his legendary status from the distractions of fame, wealth, drugs, marriage, divorce, fear of failure and changes in public taste. Tickets are $25 per individual speaking engagement and are available both online and in-person at the Calabasas Senior Center, 300 Civic Center Way, Calabasas.

Spring/Summer Recreation Brochure

Registration for Classes

The Spring/Summer Calabasas Recreation Brochure will be available on Monday, March 11th at the Calabasas Senior Center, City Hall, Juan Bautista De Anza Park, and delivered directly to Calabasas residents’ mailboxes.

Registration will utilize the Active Network that you can access using your home computer or other electronic devices. Should you need personal assistance to register for classes, you will be able to register at the Senior Center as well.

Dates for Registration - Registration will take place in stages:

On Wednesday, March 13th at 9:00 a.m., paid members of the Calabasas Senior Center will be able to register for classes and excursions.

On Friday, March 15th at 9:00 a.m., standard registration for Calabasas residents (who are not members of the Senior Center) will be able to register.

On Monday, March 18th at 9:00 a.m., non-residents of Calabasas will be able to register for classes and excursions.

CLUB HIGHLIGHT: Ping Pong Club

and college when you played ping pong and how you loved the game? Well, here is your chance to experience the same feeling again. Ping pong will give you the cardiac activity you need and the camaraderie of like minded seniors. The Club plays on Wednesdays at 2:30pm in the Sports Room. We play Mixed Doubles and all levels of play are welcome. Even if you haven’t played in a long time, you’ll be surprised how fast Ping Pong will come back to you.
