Volunteer of the Month
For almost 5 years, we have a group of artist friends who gather every 2nd Friday at Kings Way and give of their artistic ability in helping residents express themselves in acrylic paints. For some of our residents, it’s a new experience and others are seasoned artist who want to keep their brushes
moving.
Ada Onuora, Pattie Johnson, Sandra Hooper, Pat Gionet and Sue Henderson not only have a love for art but a love for people. Bringing these two loves together they
help others find their creative outlet. Each of these ladies offer an unique expression of love, friendship and practical assistance
to our residents.
Thank you ladies, for your encouragement, sensitivity and giving of your time. May God bless
each of you!

COMMUNITY EVENTS CHRONICLE JANUARY 2014
December was a fun month with a “Light Tour” of the Quispamsis area, a Christmas Tea, Christmas Party with Santa and lots of Christmas music from various groups visiting the centre. We also had our challenges, in the middle of our Christmas Party we lost power but our generator kicked in. Without full power our elevator was out of commission and the KV residents had to be taken back to their neighborhood by bus. It didn’t put a damper on the
festivities!!

COMMUNITY EVENTS CHRONICLE JANUARY 2014
Recently, Jordan Munn, from Kennebecasis Valley High School, contacted us to
use our back hill for his Environmental Science Class project. He arrived with
shovels, bulbs, etc. to begin his task. Jordan chose our facility to bring “Joy”
after a long winter. In the spring, we will be looking forward to some beautiful
flowers. Thank you Jordon for including us in your project as it fits well with our
“Eden Philosophy”.

Tribute Cards
Tribute Cards are an attractive and efficient way to send caring messages to family
and friends, and at the same time support our Foundation. A lovely, personalized
message printed on a special card is sent to the recipient, and a tax receipt is issued
for your kind donation, for a minimum donation of $10.00. These beautiful cards
represent the artwork of Barbara Wallace who is the mother of our CEO, Judy Lane.
Tribute cards are most often used for messages of condolence, and for best wishes on
special occasions – birthdays, anniversaries, graduations to name a few.
Please call the Foundation office at 847-1131, ext. 1124.
Also, gift sets of 8 cards and envelopes are available from the Foundation office for
$20.00.
