What’s up at Ennead this July...
Oom Dries has done an excellent job
with fixing the electrical boards for
Units 9 – 4 at Komati. He has gone
through each label and MCB board,
verified the codes, made corrections
and corrected the data. Once he had
completed the boards inside on the
panels he went a step further and
started correcting the boards in the
plant – something that we didn't
even consider!Thank you, Oom Dries,
for going above and beyond!
Elize Beytell got
married on 14th
of July to Pieter
Roos from Komati.
Best wishes to the
happy couple!

hard work and assistance to their department.
You make us proud! Enjoy your gifts!
You saw a WHAT?!Imagine getting this email at work:
Good Day,
There is a Gorilla on site at Precip 1, 2 and 3,
please do not interfere with it or feed it and
NO ONE is allowed to go to this area until
further notice!
Well for Komati staff members this
was a reality! For a giggle, the following
story was doing the rounds:
As someone approached the gorilla it
looked like he had safety glasses and
boots on, but it was actually
just its BEEEEG nostrils and BEEEEG
feet! And then, they just let it stroll off site....
Where is it going and who will it terrorise next..
A hearty happy birthday to the
following colleagues for July:
Loretta Vorster 2nd
George Richards 4th
Mpho Koza 6th
Goodness Msibi 15th
Jaco Botha 19th
Angelique Gray 21st
Freddy Botha 25th

Kirsty and John (Oom Aap) were road tripping
across the bushveld heading for Matimba, where
Kirsty’s silver polo was seen as “The Silver Bullet”!
Common words heard in the car ranged from
“Steek hom!” and “Lees my nommer plaat!” There
was apparently no dotted line from Bela Bela to
Lephalale… the speed made it look just like one solid
line! Oom Aap had to have a brandy to calm his
nerves when they arrived in Lephalale.
They almost hit an Kudu and had biltong for a year -
which they would naturally have shared with the rest
of us. No animals were wounded in the making of
this road trip. We are sure that Kirsty was a responsible
driver that kept to the speed limit and we are also sure
that Oom Aap wasn’t actually drinking on the job.
Sibusiso Mkhwethane
and Doctor Ngwenya
celebrate their 5 years
complete service on
15 AUGUST. And sorry
for overlooking you,
Elphas Ntuli for your
5-year service on the
1st May. We do appreciate you!
Tommie Fourie and Eunice
Sans went on a First aid
course on the 17th and
18th of July. Both
passed with flying colours!
Well done guys!
Phillip Havanga did Safety
Representative training for
Komati Labelling on 31 May.
One of our colleagues was chosen for the Eastern
Transvaal team in high school for cross country, the
10km and 21km. Can you guess who it is?
