PRESIDENT’S LETTER Greetings to all of our loyal members: What a year so far. The virus has had a terrible effect on all of our lives and our club

activities. Our board meetings have resumed at Mimi's at Tucson Mall, on the third Wednesday of the month starting in August. At this time, we are limited to 10 individuals for our private room. Hopefully this will change soon and we can have more people in attendance. A traveling Happy Hour event will be scheduled soon. Another date for the Drive and Dine event will be announced as well. Our challenge so far is finding dining establishments willing to accommodate more than 10 members. We are working hard to get everything back on track. Our enthusiastic Board of Directors has big plans once the world is back to normal. I encourage you to attend our events as they are mentioned in the newsletter.

The monthly Board meeting and President’s gathering is held every third Wednesday. Due to the virus, Mimi’s is only allowing 10 people to attend so we will not be opening our meetings to the members at this time. We are looking for another place to hold the meetings that can accommodate more than 10 people.

We plan take approximately an hour’s leisurely scenic drive to Sonoita and lunch at the

Copper Brothel Brewery in their Brewhouse Room.

The Copper Brothel is a brewpub opened in 2018 which is a family owned and woman operated brewery that combines craft beer and made from scratch pub fare in the heart of Southern Arizona's wine country. The name pays homage to the Copper State while showcasing the impact brothels had on mining communities around the Wild West.

NOTE; **Copper Brothel Brewery will not take lunch bookings until they know the state mandates in October. If they are unable to accommodate us, we will look for an alternative for lunch.

There will be ample time for you to visit some of the many local wineries at your leisure on your way back to Tucson. Dick and Judy Buckingham will be your hosts and will lead the drive. More information will be sent out so watch for it

THE NEW MBUSA MEMBER REBATE PROGRAM Executive Director's Message

MBCA has partnered with Mercedes-Benz USA to bring a new Member Rebate program. Active primary members are eligible for exclusive savings, in some cases up to $3,000 on 2020 models, on the lease or purchase of select Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The rebate incentives are available only for

qualified customers on certain 2019 and 2020 Mercedes-Benz models.

This new member benefit is available immediately upon joining the club. Current primary members can take instantaneous advantage of the Member Rebate program. If you're exploring the lease or purchase of a new Mercedes-Benz, be sure to mention the Mercedes-Benz Club of America fleet program to your Mercedes-Benz dealer to see if you qualify for any savings.

If you qualify, then you will need to present to the dealer a control number that is specific to you. You can get a control number by signing into your member account (https://www.mbca.org/user/login) and clicking on the Member Rebate artwork located on your member profile page. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and click on the red Generate MBUSA Rebate Number button. Give this number to your dealer.

The control number is valid for the current calendar year and expires on the last day of the year and is only valid for one deal. After the control number expires, active primary members can create a new number for the following calendar years.

The Member Rebate incentives are updated each month. To view current savings, visit https://www.mbca.org/mbusa-incentives.

The Member Rebate program is replacing the MBCA Loyalty Rewards program. The MBCA Loyalty Rewards program is no longer offered and is being replaced with this more improved Member Rebate benefit.

UPCOMING EVENTS: Due to the Covid 19 shut downs, we have put all events on hold up until now. We will start up the monthly board meeting and plan to add the President’s Gathering. We are looking into holding a Happy Hour in September if things open up, watch for news on this. Judy and Dick are planning a Drive and Dine for November. Dan is working on the Holiday Luncheon and Annual Meeting for December. Watch for more details as the summer progresses and the Governor allows more businesses to open.
