JULY 2016 NEW DAWN Post Summer Break the students were given a warm welcome by the teachers of the school. The excited and enthusiastic students could be seen in their classrooms. The students of class XI were also excited for their new venture and new subjects. IT@Cutting Edge 2016 at DPS, GBN Expressway DPS, GBN Expressway IT @ hosted the Cutting Edge an Inter DPS IT 2016 fest in the School Auditorium; the Tagore Hall 45 schools and 325 . LET'S CELEBRATE NATURE 2016 The Eco warriors of DPS-GBN have taken an initiative to spread awareness to save the Mother Earth. In order to teach the children the importance of preserving, conserving and saving our Earth, our school organised various activities for the children he motto .T of the activity was “Go Green”. The activities were held in the first week of July. The students were explained how the human activities in the modern world are a threat to the nature and eventually lead to its destruction. Various activities were conducted from classes I-XI like poster making, compost making, collage making and report writing. Our school is continuously working towards creating an awareness to save the Mother Earth. They were informed about the six members of the Law Committee formed in the school, its purpose, duties, responsibilities and working. The process following an employee complaint and its consequences were discussed. The teachers were informed about their rights and the misuse of these rights. It was an enlightening experience for all the teachers. They were happy to know that the school was taking care to provide them with a safe and healthy environment. ROTARY CLUB OF NOIDA (INSTALLATION CEREMONY) DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, GBN INTERACT CLUB which works to spread social awareness was invited as the honourable guest in Hotel CrownPlaza, Okhla Installation Ceremony of in the the new team of ROTARY for the year 2016-17.Mr. Shashank Aggarwal was appointed as the President of Rotary Club for the year 2016-17. DPS, GBN was also felicitated as the new Interact Club member. Ms. Preety Malhotra, Ms. Manisha Srivastava and Ms. Jyoti Garg, In-charge Interact s, Club represented DPS,GBN in the function . Interact club a part of DPS, GBN has taken this,initiative forward by bringing smile to the facesof these little kids in its unique way. Interact clubmembers Kovid Lakhera(President) and histeam mates Puneet Awana, Srija Chawlaand Ananya Dhaka spent their time withthese underprivileged children. They provided

moral education to these lovely kids through play way method. Theyperformed the activities like singing and dancing, hyme recitation, storyrnarration. They also played a video on basic traffic rules which the kidsthoroughly enjoyed. Students distributed toffees among the kids toculminate this special occasion with sweets.

Brochureswere designed by students which showcased their creativity and aestheticsense. Day 2 witnessed the innovative ideas of the students of Class VIII-who designed '3-D logos', on the theme of “360° evolution of Science'.Students even decorated their classes with scientific gadgets that wereused in different eras. A two day workshop on 'Capacity BuildingProgramme on Scholastic Aspects of CCE'was organized by Pragyan School, GreaterNoida on 22 and 23 July 2016,

strengthen the skills, processes and resources forbetter understanding of CCE (Continuous andComprehensive Evaluation) and the proposed

changes. The two resource persons from CBSE, Mrs. Rajni Jaimini,Principal St. Paul School and Ms Rema Alex Daniel, conducted theworkshop which focussed on explaining Formative Assessment usingmultiple choice questions and analysing and understanding the typologyof question paper and assessing the Co Scholastic areas. Two teachersfrom Science department, Ms. Priya Arora and Ms. Asmita Gaur, attendedthe workshop which was a great learning experience and an eye openerfor various practices to understand CCE in a better way.
