After a long, exciting and productive year, Marna

and I enjoyed a two-week break after Christmas. What a blessing it was to get out of our "normal" routine to refresh, relax and refire for the next year. I also used this time to be still (Psalm 46:10) and hear from the Lord as to what is on His heart for us for the new year, and I am so excited! We are in for much growth, a dramatic increase in influence, more people discovering the God of all grace, more healings and just an overall increase in fruitfulness! The Lord gave me several "milestones" for the next season. According to the dictionary, a milestone is “a stone of marker set upon a roadside to indicate the distance from a given point. It is also a significant event, as in a person’s career, the history of an organization, or a turning point". The best way I can describe what I can see coming, is this: up and until now, we've been building forward, like laying train tracks down towards a destination. But now there is a shifting of gears to enable us to both build and move forward while building and moving upwards at the same time. In the next season we will be preparing to disciple more people and plant more churches to reach even more people with the glorious gospel of grace. We'll share more with you as time goes on!

In preparation for all of this, we kicked off the year with a full-time ministers’ retreat, where our team went through intense training and planning sessions in order to be better prepared for what's coming.

Our first Good News Conference (held this past December) was a huge success! We had over a hundred people who registered for and attended the conference from a number of different churches and areas. One of the delegates came from as far Zambia, and God is forming a great connection for us to help strengthen a congregation there and help them move forward in the message and mission of grace as part of the GraceLife family (see the news section for more). GN2012 was privileged to have Bible teacher Arthur Meintjes and his wife Cathy join us from the USA. A number of people received Christ, and many were healed and were set free as they heard a power-packed message from Arthur on the goodness of God. We look forward to reaching out in various areas with the gospel of grace by having a number of "Good News Conferences" in the near future. Roux (pictured above) join our full time team as a

minister and as the youth director. His

relationship with God is vibrant and his passion

for the Gospel of grace is contagious. Jacques

(who is all dressed up in the picture for his recent

bachelors) is getting married in February.

GRACELIFE MINISTRY SCHOOL (GLMS)

God used GraceLife Ministry School to change a lot of lives last year! We have even more students who are enrolling for 2013, and we’ve adjusted the curriculum to equip them to be even more for effective as believers. DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY IN ZAMBIA God is opening doors for us to reach the country of Zambia with His grace! A ministry there has expressed a desire to join us on our mission by becoming part of our network of churches and ministries (which is currently starting to take form). In order to take advantage of this opportunity and prepare for a mission trip to Zambia later in the year, GraceLife Missions Director, Stefan Viljoen, and Executive Elder and overseer of the GraceLife International, Shayne Holesgrove, are planning a ministry trip to Zambia in February/ March. They will also be meeting with Pastor Lameck Musandu (an elder in GraceLife Ministries, based in Zimbabwe) in planning to move forward. We invite you to be a part of this significant trip by praying for us and by sowing towards it through a gift of any amount. Please reference your gift as “ZAMBIA YOUR NAME”.

Cape Town… Shayne & Marna recently handed over

leadership of our church plant in Cape Town

to Stefan Viljoen (pictured above). Stefan has

a great revelation of grace, a passion for the

kingdom and has been on a number of

missions including China, Mozambique and

Argentina. He is also a full time minister in

Stellenbosch and the executive director of

GraceLife Outreach and Missions.

He is the payment for our sins, and not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2 GW)

When GraceLife started in 2010, we didn't realize that one of our major focuses would be church planting and missions. As time has gone on, we have seen how it could not be any other way! A natural result of the gospel of grace is a thrust towards a missional lifestyle of reaching out, going out and starting churches.

Our last mission to Zimbabwe included planting a church in Borrowdale (Harare) together with our sister church there, after a few days of reaching out and discipling families. We believe that God is going to do things like this and even greater on the trips to come. We have started to prepare for three major potential missions this year: Zimbabwe (June), Mozambique (July) and Zambia (July or September).

We invite you to prayerfully consider being a part of missions this year, either by applying to go on a trip, praying for us or through your financial support. Together we can do much more!

Rooted is an awesome programme which God uses to change lives! It focuses on foundational truths with one-on-one discipleship, resulting in freedom from bondages and foundations laid for walking in intimacy with Father God and enjoying our inheritance in Christ. It is currently a two-month, full-time program running on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. This program is perfect for anyone wanting to grow in their faith, receive healing and restoration, or just take some time out to focus on God and start discovering their purpose.
