On Wednesday we had a cultural trip in Histo- rical Peninsula where we visited Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, the Blue Mosque and The Basi- lica Cistern., some of the most beautiful landmarks of the city. On Thursday we took a Bosphorous tour by boat in the morning and in the afternoon we visited the Mu- seum Miniaturk. CULTURAL VISITS From 27th April to 2nd May two teachers and four students of 3º ESO attended the seventh conference in Istambul, Turkey where we enjo- yed the lovely Spring weather. Sunday was a free day as activities didn’t start until next day. So stu- dents had the chance of spending the day with the family and learn more about the culture. On Monday we met at school where there was an official welcome from the Headteacher, and the coordinator. As well as students gving us information about Istambul, their neigh- bourhood, their school and Turkish educational system. After that tea- chers met to talk about the activities done, ri- mind the ones left for the last term, speak about the final confe- rence and other issues. In the meantime stu- dents got in mixed groups to take part in a drama workshop and also a traditional folk dance workshop. Tea- chers also had the chance to see how our students worked and enjoyed together. On Tuesday students atended a percusión workshop and a photo- graphy workshop while teachers atended a pa- per-mabling workshop where produced our own work of art.
