This survey asks your perspective on your child’s school and what you think is important for the school to consider in better supporting children’s mental health and wellbeing. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the survey. The answers provided by parents and carers are completely anonymous and it will not be possible to identify you or your child from your answers. Data is stored electronically by KidsMatter Primary in a password secured database. If you consent to participate, please complete the survey according to the instructions given by your school, which may either be to fill out the paper-based survey and return it to the school, or complete the online survey at: www.kidsmatter.edu.au/primary/parentsurvey

Completing this anonymous survey is entirely your choice. Whether or not you decide to participate, your decision will not disadvantage you or your child.

However, we hope that you will contribute to helping us improve our school community. Please feel free to discuss any concerns you may have about completing this survey with any of the staff.

Wanguri Primary now has it’s own Skoolbag app, to download it’s as easy as going to the app store/play store and looking up ‘Wanguri’ If you have any issues or have a Windows phone please use the instructions here http://www.skoolbag.com.au/forparents.php

Using the Wanguri Skoolbag app you can view newsletters, see upcoming events and add them to the calendar on your device, use eforms to notify of absence and much more. The app is free for parents to download and will help the school communicate more effectively with parents/carers about what is happening in the school.

CJ Bruton is a 6 time NBL champion and he is one of the NBL's best 3 point shooters. He came to Darwin to host the Darwin Basketball Association Easter challenge. We learnt important basketball skills over 2 days and I got to compete with under 12 and under 14 boys from all over the NT. It was a great experience and can't wait to do it again next year. SRC News Thank you to everyone who donated to the Fijian Cyclone Appeal. Wanguri Primary raised $55.00!

Posion and Locaon During this maths unit we will be exploring movement and posion

concepts. The students have drawn maps and wrien direcons focusing

on the use of right, le, up and down. They have been introduced to the

concept of North, South, East, and West and the use of these posions

on maps.

Today we read a story called "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" by Michael

Rosen and we had to draw a map of the places the family went through

in the story. To be successful we needed to draw a path between the

locaons, the path represents the journey.
