Our November news should be kind of remedy of our summer arrears. We announced our F-86K Sabre Dog in the summer
as our hot news, but as we were not quite happy with quality of some of the model parts, we reworked two of the moulds. So,
thanks to this delay, you are now getting much better model of the F-86K plane. But that is not all, besides the F-86K we
would like to offer you also a limited re-issue of our Walrus model in the 48th scale. Let´s have a look at this model first.
Though Supermarine is famous for its advanced Spitfire fighter design, its main production program from its founding till the
end of World War 2 were mostly reliable flying boats of various categories. In the beginning of the 1930s Australia issued
Supermarine to design advanced flying boats for maritime patrols and for service on warships. Supermarine replied by
Seagull Mk.V design. The RAAF received 24 Seagull Mk.Vs. Subsequent machines featured strengthened structure and
thus a new name Walrus Mk.I and were delivered to the Royal Navy that used them on warships catapults as fleet spotters
and for reconnaissance missions. When World War 2 broke out, tasks of the Walrus expanded to convoy escorts, air-sea
rescue missions (even ASR Squadrons of the RAF used them) and even for bombing missions. Several machines were
used also by civilian users. The model we are releasing now is improved over the older one which was produced for Classic
Airframes. The fuselage mould has been made completely new. The model contains three sprues of grey plastic parts,
injected clear parts, detailed resin parts and a set of photo-etched parts.

Production of the famous british seaplane Walrus was stopped as early as 1944, but the built aircraft were exported to two
countries after the war. Their destination was Argentina and also the restored French Navy got some of them. In our limited
edition of 500pcs you will find decal sheets for both of these two post-war users. There are decals for Argentinian M-O-9
machine which flew in silver dope overal and yellow upper surface of the top-wing. The other option is French machine
53.S.10 with a unit´s badge on its bow.

The F-86K Sabre Dog was an all-weather version of the F-86D fighter and was built for European NATO-members. The F-
86K had different longer fuselage and cannon armament. Most of the planes had longer span wings identical with that of the
following F-86L version. The majority of the planes were built by Fiat in Italy, although few tens of them were built also by
North American. The F-86K served in air forces of Italy, the Netherlands, France, Norway and Germany. The model is
offered in following boxings:
SH48123 F-86K Sabre Dog “NATO All Weather Fighter” 1/48
There are three main sprues of grey plastic in this model plus a frame of clear parts, resin parts and a set of photo-etched
parts. The decal sheet contains markings for three natural-
metal machines, the Italian and Dutch ones have squadron
badges on their tails. Most colourful is the Norwegian plane,
adorned with a shark mouth and a sketch of a dog named
Laika. There is also a plenty of stencils, they are various for all
of the three machines.

natural-metal finish with colourful fuselage stripes and two
German planes, one of them also in the NMF and the other in
a three-tone camouflage. There is also a set of stencils on the
decal sheet.
