The school is excited to have Kareem El-Ansary, the Australian Youth Representative to the UN visiting our school next week. He is on a nationwide listening tour to engage with and discover the issues that are

most important to young Australians.

In September, the Youth Representative travels to New York to represent Australian youth at the United Nations, as a member of the Official Australian Delegation to the UN. There, Kareem will deliver a speech on his findings during the Listening Tour. He will also write a report to be presented to the

Federal Government on the findings of his tour.

Kareem will be speaking to the SRC and other interested students.

We have also had Stage 4 students go to Cobar Public School this week to participate in the National Simultaneous

reading event. The students both read and signed the book Alpacas with Maracas' by Matt Cosgrove .

The Gideon’s have approached the school to distribute ‘New Testaments’ to Year 7 students. Any parent who wants their child to receive a copy of the book please contact the school so it can be arranged.
