We will be leaving Fairfax at 8:45 am both Monday and Tuesday. For our Monday, circus visit to Boggabri Public School we will be leaving Boggabri at 11:30 to return to school by 12:00, Thank you to Karen Brennan and Leanne Starkey for offering to help transport us across. On Tuesday we will be at Sacred Heart all day, returning to Fairfax at 3:30 pm. Thank you to Ash Smith, Pat Murphy and Mrs Shields and Mr Wood for driving us across on Tuesday. We have today celebrated National Tree Day by learning about the importance of trees and discussing the meaning of environmental sustainability. Thank you to Mr Murphy for coming in to help us plant our trees. We have planted a number of native trees and shrubs around our school including a Coolibah tree. Today we welcomed Mrs Warnock back to Maules Creek. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her trip and experiences she had whilst she was traveling across Australia. We were also all very excited to share our great news from the Narrabri Eisteddfod. We are currently updating our records and require each student to have an updated health form filled in and returned to the school. Please return these forms by the end of next week to ensure our records remain up to date. Next Wednesday we will begin our Active After School Program again, Thank you to Karan Todd for organising the afternoon tea roster. The Smith’s will provide afternoon tea this Wednesday. Next week is a very busy week as we begin our Education Week Celebrations. Please come in and join us if you are not busy on any day to help us celebrate. Circus Performance Students will be travelling to Boggabri Public School on Monday to participate in the Circus Performance. We will be leaving school at 8:45am. Students are required to wear their winter school uniform and take their morning tea and a drink bottle. Life Education Van Visit

On Tuesday, students will travel to Sacred Heart School in Boggabri for the day. We will be leaving school at 8:45am and returning at 3pm. During the day they will visit the Life Education van sessions with the Sacred Heart students. Harold merchandise will be available to students. If you child wishes to purchase something from the shop please put money in an envelope and write your child’s name and what they wish to purchase on the face. Students will require to take with them fruit for fruit break, recess, lunch, water bottle and a hat.

Montage Fotos have been booked to take our school photographs again this year. Gayle and Heather will be at Fairfax Public School on Wednesday 14

th August at 11:30am. Pre-order

Primary Science Lessons The primary students have been investigating with Mr Wood, the use of energy in our school. Students have been testing and recording how energy is used and will research ways in which we can reduce our energy use.
