Speaker 1: Luke Edgell Evaluater: Diarmuid Woods Topic: “Why I took up Toastmasters & what did learn.” With the need to give business presentations, Luke indicated he had learned about Pause and Pitch particularly and with Kathy’s ‘nagging’ had learned to slow down. He then thanked Toastmasters present for presenting the Speechraft Course Speaker 2: Kathy Stewart Evaluator: Muriel Jones. Topic: “Speechcraft.” Kathy conveyed the confidence gained with Publc Speaking skills; Awe of Speechcraft program; Shared stories & Journey of progress and was a proud mother hen, wncouraging Speechcrafters to keep up energy & practice. Speaker 3: Deanna Morpugo Evaluator: Sarah Cameron Topic: “The Qantas A380 report.” Deanna advised that too many brands have been forced into overseas hands. Why no loyalty to Qantas? - cheaper fares or better service/comfort elsewhere; out of 30 people only 4 elected to travel Qantas. On her recent trip to USA in Qantas Economy, it was a nightmare from hell with the seat pitch at 74cm compared to most airlines at 86cm.
