he year 2013 was a very busy year or allo us. I was lled wi h oppor uni ies,

local pas or. She nished her school and iscurren ly an appren ice a a local beau y salon.In a ew mon hs, she will be moving back o

he S a es wi h her husband and wan s osetle in Naples, Florida. Please pray or hem,as hey s ar heir new li e away rom amilyand riends.

P , our oldes son, and his wi e Filo spenhree mon hs in Romania being involved in all

aspec s o our minis ry. His avori e ime wasa camp wi h he orphans and working a heorphanage. He loved i so much ha we hada hard ime sending him back o he US. Teorphans love him and he was able o connec wi h hem ex remely well. For many o you

ha do no know, Philip’s mom died when he was only hree years old. He has a deep love orchildren we minis er o here in Romania.

B , who will be 14 years old in March,decided o qui soccer afer eigh years o nomissing almos any prac ice or game. We were shocked. He old us ha he came o un-ders and ha his rela ionship wi h God and

school is more impor an han soccer. Wow!I was shocked. He enrolled on his own in adiscipleship program as his desire o knowGod and live or Him wen o a new level. In

he mids o his exci emen , Ben had a bikeacciden as he was rying o go downhill. He was in he hospi al or only 24 hours and hadall his X-rays done, every possible es , and heis O.K. We paniced when we realized ha hedidn’ know wha day i was and how he endedup on he side o a road in he nearby village. As I looked a his cracked helme , I knew only

God had spared his li e. Praise God or Hispro ec ion!

Demi and God

Demian (Demi) is a 10-year-old boy hais par o our Fos er Care minis ry. Demi

was born a he Oradea Children’s Hospi al where his mo her abandoned him righ a -

er bir h. He was in he hospi al or 5 mon hsun il he governmen placed him in he localorphanage. We me Demi when he was 16mon hs old, and he rauma he experiencedduring he ime he was ins i u ionalized was very clear o all o us. He was deprived oproper care, love, ood, and aten ion a a cru-cial ime o his developmen . When we sawDemi, we decided o place him immedia elyin our Fos er Care minis ry. From he begin-ning our social workers ried o nd Demi’smo her so we could produce he legal papers

ha Demi needed in order o unc ion in hesocie y. Demi had no bir h cer ica e; legallyhe did no exis .

We looked or Demi’s mom in every own inour area. We gave her personal in orma ion

o he local police, bu o no avail. A ew yearsla er we ound her 130 miles away rom ourci y. When we visi ed her o alk abou Demi,

she showed no in eres and was very cold. Wehave been involved in similar si ua ions be-ore, bu he lack o care or in eres we saw in

Demi’s mo her was unbelievable. Tis brougho mind he passage rom Scrip ure, which saysha in he Las Days people, would be,“wi h-

ou na ural affec ion”(2 im 3:3, KJV). Evenan animal has some kind o affec ion owardi s kin, bu his mo her had none.

When we look back and envision wha his li e would have been wi hou our in erven ion, we know he brigh u ure his boy now has isno hing shor o a miracle.
