PELVIC FLOOR AND PROSTATE HEALTH WORKSHOPS
Balwyn Evergreen Centre will be running a Pelvic Floor and Prostate Health Workshop for women and men over two sessions in September.
Session 1 – Tuesday 10th September 12:15pm – 1:15pm
An hour-long presentation by the Continence Foundation of Victoria on how to prevent, improve or manage bladder and bowel health.
Session 2 – Tuesday 17th September 12:15pm – 1:15pm
Balwyn Evergreen Centre trainer Simone will lead an hour-long session of Pelvic Floor (Safe Exercises) for both men and women. Participants will also be provided with resources for use at home.

Shopping Bus
Need help getting to and from the Supermarket?
A shopping bus runs on Monday with pickups starting at 9:00am. You will be taken to Balwyn Woolworths before being collected and taken
home.
The cost is $12.00 and you will need to contact Brenda on 9836 9681 to see if you are eligible for
this service.
‘Telling Tales’ Reminiscence Circle
Older residents of Boroondara are invited to share their memories and to help preserve these unique stories of
the City of Boroondara in this exciting arts initiative.
The theme of this program is the ‘Stages of Life’ from childhood to retirement and you will be requested to bring any memorabilia from those stages of your life.
Your involvement:
• Reminiscence Circle – Sat 24 August 2019 1pm – 4pm. Your stories will be recorded by oral historian Dr Vivienne Nicholson.
• Rehearsal: Sat 28th September 2019 1pm – 4pm
• Theatrical Presentation: Sat 12 Oct 2019 1pm – 4pm

WESBURN: WARBURTON HOTEL One of the oldest in the area, the Warburton Hotel is said to have started life in
1863 at a site in Old Warburton and was moved to Wesburn in 1885. In days gone by it has been known as Buller’s Hotel, and in recent decades the Sam Knott Hotel.
The locals know it as ‘The West’ and the owners have worked hard to return the pub to its original glory and felt it fitting to return its original and longest serving
name.

Our gym and exercises this year are going particularly strong. We also have our art classes as well on Wednesday. If interested, please contact Brenda or Trisha on 9836 9681.
Evergreen Community Lunch
On Wednesday, there is a community lunch at Evergreen as well as special lunches or BBQ's during the year.
There is a concert in the afternoon followed by afternoon tea.
If that doesn't appeal to you, in the morning there is also an exercise session followed by morning tea.
We also have art groups running in the afternoon as well! Lots to do on Wednesday!
