When you look into the mirror - Know who you
are! When you go to school do you focus and give
100% or do you coast with mediocrity with no
goals in mind? When you take your martial arts
class are you motivated to train hard? Do you go
to school with the intention of improving on your
education? Do you come to the Dojang every day
with the intention on improving your martial
arts skills? When you are ask to do 10 push ups
do you do 10 or 9? Do you Kiap with Passion &
Conviction? Do you put everything into your
punch/kick when you are ask to? What I am
talking about is Bad Habits. I believe the worst
habit one can have is laziness. If you think you
can get away with 9 instead of 10 push ups; 49
instead of 50, you are only giving 50% of your
effort. This Bad Habit becomes a decease and in
turn will affect and spread through out your
entire life. Before you know it you will become

I have recently come across a Fund
Raising Event for Special Olympics. The
Special Olympics 2013 Summer Games
are being held July 11 to 14, 2013. York
Region is hosting a Special Olympics
Day on Thursday May 16, 2013. I would
love very much for CMA to become
involve in this event. To do so all you
have to do is to Donate $5 and re-
ceive Red Laces. That’s It!! Noth-
ing More. Posters will be place
around the school about this even.

Do you think it would be okay to be late for
work? No! This bad habit (laziness) will in turn
affect your whole life forward. The reason I am
asking these questions is to make you to reflect
on your martial arts training. So the next time
you crawl out of bed look into the mirror and ask
yourself - Do you want to succeed or do you want
to fail? Sounds simple enough but take a
moment to think on these questions.

Our black belt athletes are competing on Satur-
day May 04, 2013 for a spot to represent Canada Canada Canada Canada
at the Pan American Games. Our competitors are
not only fighting for a spot on the Canadian
National Team, but they are competing to earn
respect for all of our future competitors that
decide to represent Chu’s Martial Arts. All of our
athletes have demonstrated a tremendous amount
of commitment in order to prepare for the upcom-
ing Canada Open. This tournament will bring the
best the world has to offer.

As the summer approaches, many students like to take
a break and enjoy the sun that comes with the beautiful
weather outside. This also can be a great opportunity
for aspiring competitors who want to get extra training
and to a step closer to their competitive goals. To
achieve these goals requires dedication, discipline, focus
and hard work. By training during the summer you are
guarantee to reach your goals.
