Pastor’s Notes:  I LOVE MY CHURCH!!!!!!!! Sorry, I’m just a little  prejudiced. We have the best  people you can find anywhere. Sunday morning, you were awesome in honoring and bless ing our guests from Honduras. With all the differe nces in language, pronunciations, differences in culture regarding time, etc., you showed the love and honor they des erve. And what did we get in return? A wonderful message about having the “glory of God in your house”. I sure want that for me and my house. But I love my church f or more than the way you treat ed out of country guests. I love our church  because of your heart for the Lord. We may not be perfect but we love the One who is perfect and really want to pursue Him. I want MORE of Him. It makes no difference to me if it is Summer or Fall……I want HIM! He can bring His glory to your house anytime….you just have to want Him and desire Him. Sunday night began our annual Church of God State Camp Meeting! The Church of God in South Carolina is celebrating her 100 th  birthday. What an awesome time for the Church of God. Services are already in swing by the time you get this newsletter, but you still have time to attend. As usual, many of our staf f and church are involved. Our choir wi ll be joining with other choirs Tonight to sing praise to our Lord. Bro. Todd Porter is involved as a member of the State Music Committee. Bro. Sergio Burgos has been asked to do devotions in the ser vice on Friday evening. Others are helping in other areas of ministry and I am proud of everyone who is involved. So thankful our church is engaged in promoting our heritage and reaching for our future. If you ar e unable to attend, y ou can go to sccog.com and click the link to watch the services online. This coming Sunday is Father’s Day. During the service, we will be drawing for 3 special g ifts for Father’s that r egister during Sunday School. We also will have a special gift for every Father in attendance. What a great time to have your family together in the House of God. There will be no service on Father’s Day evening  to give our families an opportunity to spend some time together. I apologize that Camp Meeting Sunday and Father’s Day Sunday fell back to back, but we will be back on schedule June 22 nd  with our Sunday evening se rvices. Our church has been inv olved for several years in serving 1 month at the Woodruff Community Clothes Closet. Our month this year is July. July 5 th , the Clothes Closet will be closed in observance of Independence Day. July the 26 th  has been filled. We still need to cover July 12 & 19. It would be a great opportunity for a church mini stry to fill this spot. The Clothes Closet is open from 9   1. As soon as I have al l the Saturday’s filled, I will set a t ime for everyone to Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter June 10, 2014

meet at the clothes closet so I can show you around and give you a list of what needs to be done.

This is the way we make a difference in our community and engage those that may not know the

Lord. We are free to talk to them about the Lord and about the church. The Clothes Closet is aMINISTRY!!! PLEASE, let’s invest some time and effort into reaching our community. Call

me (Bro. Terry) at the church office, 476-2977 or email me at [email protected].  Facebook

will work too! Thank you in advance.

GREAT START WOODRUFF……. Woodruff Church of God will again be participating in

Great Start Woodruff. For the next several weeks, let’s begin collecting black or blue ink pens.

There will be a box places in the lobby to collect these items. Please, help us out and in doingso, helpping the children & youth of our community. Great Start Woodruff is for EVERY child

that attends District 4 schools, although emphasis is on Middle School and down. Again, this is

another opportunity to get involved in our community and make ourselves known to those who

may not know Jesus and may need a church home.
