Message of Thanks from Colette Brennan - Assistant
Principal
Over the last six years in my role as Acting Assistant Principal, here at Newcomb
Secondary College I have had the opportunity to meet and work with many of
our parents and students. I would like to thank the families for their support over
this time.
I would also like to thank my colleagues for their dedication to the students and
the College.
The administration staff, office ladies and educational support staff work tirelessly
for our school. As do the teaching staff here at Newcomb, to create a positive
and supportive environment for the students.
Best wishes to all for the holidays and 2015
Colette Brennan

To apply for reimbursement students are required to complete two forms and return them to the school office.

2. 2015 Victorian Public Transport Student Concession Card and Student Pass Application Form (these forms are not available until early 2015 and can be obtained from the College General Office or V/

Please note that these forms have to be completed at the start of each school year for continued
funding.
Any queries please contact Michelle Sharp at the College on 5248 1400.

YEAR 12 GRADUATION
We would like to congratulate all the Year 12 students who graduated last
Wednesday, 10th December.
A great night had by all with warm, reflective and articulate messages from our
School Leaders Luke Warren and Alexandria Potter.
The night was appropriate for a fun, lovely and enthusiastic group of Year 12 students.
Mr Curnick did enough dancing for an entire Woodstock Convention!!!
Mr Murphy
Please note that the school has CAS (not a colour screen version)
and
TI-83/84s for hire, but there will be no direct sales of any calculators.

PHOTOGRAPHY
COMPETITION Former Newcomb Secondary College student Danielle Bamforth was awarded the first place in Geelong's first
ever "Geelong by Nature" wildlife photography competition this week.
She was presented with the award by Geelong Mayor Darren Lyons (a former student of our affiliated school,
Geelong East Technical College).
Danielle now specialises in photographing birds and has
been widely successful, having been published in magazines Australia wide.
Our congratulations go to Danielle on her exquisite
photo of wild Sulpher-Crested Cockatoos. If you are interested in seeing more of her work, check out Daneye
Photography on Facebook.
