ESTYN Inspection Report As you are aware, last term, Estyn Inspectors visited our school to conduct an inspection. We are delighted to now announce that following the visit, the school has been judged as 'Good' in all five Inspection Areas - namely, 'Standards', 'Wellbeing & Attitudes to Learning', 'Teaching & Learning Experiences', 'Care, Support & Guidance' and 'Leadership & Management' Naturally, we are delighted with the outcome of the inspection, and it served to reinforce the hard work, dedication and pride the entire school community takes in delivering the best possible experience for our children. Can I again take this opportunity to thank pupils, parents, governors and staff for their support over the past few year - it has been a massive team effort. What the inspectors said: "While at school, nearly all make good progress from their individual starting points." "Nearly all pupils are polite and sociable. Most behave well in lessons and around the school." "Teachers know their pupils well and have clear strategies in place to enable pupils to succeed." "It is a caring community and makes effective arrangements to support pupils' wellbeing." "The headteacher, along with the deputy headteacher, provides clear, purposeful and effective direction for the school." Copies of the report can be accessed on the school's and Estyn's website. Paper copies are available, on request, from the school office. Blaendulais News “Making a Difference” NEWSLETTER 4 THURSDAY, 31ST JANUARY 2019 INSET Day - Friday 12th April 2019
