Dear parents and caregivers,

I would like to begin this first Newsletter for Term 2 2020, by congratulating our entire school community for your extraordinary efforts during this Covid-19 journey. Thank You for your perseverance, patience, kindness and courage as we have navigated through these ‘different’ times together.

We understand this may be an uncertain and difficult period for you and your family, which is why the State Government has given parents a choice about whether their children return to school or learn from home.

As you would be aware, one of our main priorities has been limiting the number of adults Entering School Grounds. We thank you for the understanding and adaptability you have shown with this measure implemented to ensure the safety of our staff and students.

Our staff have been working extremely hard to deliver both Classroom and Remote Learning platforms, and all students appear to be adapting well. We have welcomed 55% of students back to school, with numbers going up each week. We look forward to seeing many more smiling faces, and ask that if you are planning on sending your children back to school at any stage, please let us know so that we can make any necessary adjustments within the classrooms.

Week 5 will see our head students embarking on their first official duty for this Term, presenting a Virtual School Awards Ceremony which they are quite excited about. They will link in to classrooms through a WebEx video conference, and the link will also be provided on Seesaw for students learning from home.

We want all families and children to feel supported and informed during this time, and as such we continue to encourage you follow our Facebook page and download our School Stream and Seesaw Apps for important notices, including communications about future school arrangements. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.

And lastly, we wish all of the amazing mum’s and grandma’s a very Happy Mother’s Day for this Sunday. We hope your day is as special as you are.

Warm regards,

Celine Bellve Principal
