MPSSA 3/4 BASKETBALL

On Tuesday the 3rd of December, the grade 3/4 basketball teams travelled to Sunbury. They played 5 games in total, against the other schools in the MPSSA 2 district. Both teams played well together and showed great sportsmanship. The girls were successful in winning 2 of their games and should be proud of the way they developed their skills throughout the day. The boys won all 5 of their games, making them the premiers of the day. They were extremely excited and should be congratulated on such a successful day. I’d like to thank Mel Mourkakos

for all of her help on the day and being responsible for scoring every game.

DJERRIWARRH FESTIVAL

Last Saturday, our school participated in the Djerriwarrh festival street parade with over fifty students taking part in our glittery entery of sea creatures. We wish to thank all the students and their supportive parents for their enthusiasm in participating, and for creating such amazing costumes. On the day, there were plenty of very pleasant surprises, as students turned up to reveal their amazing costumes. Some we could barely recognise for the make-up and glitter. I have had so many people tell me how amazing our float was, and they are right. It was amazing, thanks to our amazing kids. Well done everyone. Here's what some of the kids had to say.

Kurunjang primary school participated in the Djerriwarrh festival. We dressed up as sea creatures from under the sea. We thank you all who came and dressed up. We thank you all who came and cheered us on. We had so much fun. By Mia

On the 10th of October, was the Djerriwarrh festival. Lots of people from our school went, and all of the people were cheering. Everybodies costumes were amazing. Lots of people went to the fair as well. Everybody was waving. By Payton
