Acting Principal’s Update My first week back at Toogoolawah State School has reminded me what a busy place of learning we have. The highlight has to
have been the students joy and excitement at their awards evening. A big congratula ons to all students for their
performances and a special men on to the award winners. It is great to see students work being rewarded. I would also like to
pay my respect to the teachers and teacher aides who worked so hard with the students with their performances. I would like
to pay special men on to Mrs McAuliffe. The work she did to bring the whole evening together was amazing. Without her, I’m
not sure how the night would have run.
With one week to the end of the year it is a great opportunity for some fun and different learning ac vi es. I look forward to
enjoying the week with the wonderful students and staff of our school.
Greg Tucker, Ac ng Principal

Citizenship & Achievement Award Chaz Andrews Kindly sponsored by the Toogoolawah IGA. Chaz is a hard working student who consistently demonstrates a commitment to his learning. He asks ques ons for clarifica on, takes on feedback and always engages in our classroom discussions. Not only is Chaz a great student but he is a wonderful friend and classmate. He is loyal to the core and sets a fine example of how to stand by your mates. His integrity is no ced and admired by many. Our class lunchboxes are kept cool day in and day out because of Chaz’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that the lunchbox basket is returned to the classroom. Without fail, he offers to collect it a er each and every lunch break. He is the first person to assist when he sees it is needed. Earlier in the term, when I nominated Chaz for this award, it was brought to my a en on that there had been some incidences in the playground that may inhibit him from receiving Student of the Week. So, Chaz and I sat down and talked about a goal for the term and he has worked hard to achieve that goal. I am so proud to be able to present him with this award today. Chaz, thanks for being an all ‘round top bloke. You should be very proud of the person you are and all that you have achieved. Well done mate.
