Hi JCSS Participants, Another  fantastic  sunny  Summers  afternoon  beckons  this  Thursday  for  event  11  of  the  Jetts  City  Surf  Series.  Once  again  its  going  to  be  all  go!        

2degrees  are  coming  down  with  their  caravan  full  of  giveaways  for  all  participants,  friends  and  family  PLUS  we're  introducing  a  FREE  500m  course  for  you  to  introduce  friends  and  family  to  come  and  have  a  crack,  with  an  eye  to  taking  part  in  year  2  of  the  JCSS,  see  below  for  more  details.

'FREE' - Introduce a Friend

Got  a  friend,  partner  or  family  member  keen  to  have  a  crack  at  an  introductory  500m  course  at  the  Jetts  City  Surf  Series?  If  so  great,  at  each  of  the  remaining  3  events  we  will  run  it  as  follows:   1)  Come  up  to  the  JCSS  trailer  by  525pm  latest  and  sign  in  with  the  staff.

2)  Briefing  at  530pm  with  a  race  start  of  540pm  (after  the  SUP  Novice  &  Surfboard  paddlers).

3)  New  participants  to  have  their  own  equipment  (or  borrow  a  mates).

All 2013 dates & key points

We  have  three  races  remaining  in  the  JCSS  before  we  congratulate  all  participants  and  acknowledge  and  award  our  1st,  2nd  and  3rd  place  getters  in  each  category.    Please  note:

*  1st,  2nd  and  3rd  will  be  calculated  from  your  highest  nine  races  out  of  12.  If  you  haven't  done  nine  races,  but  make  the  top  3  for  your  category  you  will  still  be  acknowledged  on  the  podium  for  prize  giving,  just  not  awarded  a  major  prize.

*  Thursday  March  14th  is  a  Double  Points  race.  It  is  a  $20  entry  fee  on  the  day,  with  all  proceeds  going  to  Surf  Lifesaving  Northern  Region.

*  Prize  giving  will  be  on  Thursday,  March  21st,  kicking  off  at  730pm.  Everyone  is  welcome  with  place  getters  getting  notified  by  Friday  March  15th.  Prize  giving  location  tbc  next  week.

*  All  participants  who  complete  9  races  of  the  JCSS  go  in  the  draw  to  win  a  holiday  to  Samoa,  thanks  to  Pete  at  Island  Holidays.  This  is  drawn  at  prize  giving  and  you  must  be  present  to  claim  the  prize.  Plenty  of  other  spot  prizes  also  for  other  attendees  of  prize  giving.
