Pupil Voice This section is written by groups of children within our school and the following report is about the Year 5

Healthy Snack Sale.

On the last week before half term, we made and sold healthy snacks to raise awareness of eating a balanced diet. We had to learn teamwork, how to be safe with cooking equipment and use different cutting methods

such as the bridge method. We also had to make a profit, which is when you have to make more money than you spent. We liked the project because it was fun and something different, which we liked to do.

Thank you to everyone who supported us by buying one of our snacks.

Year 5 & 6 Boys Football Event at Netley Abbey Junior School - Tuesday 22nd November Year 5/6 boys played a friendly vs Weston Park. The team was made up of some of the boys that had been

attending after school football on a regular basis. It was Weston Park Primary School that walked away with a win in the end but our boys scored an amazing team goal and deserved more out of the game.

The Team: Elliot, Leo, Albert, Kyle, Isaac, Camron, Joshua, Jack and David.

Year 5 & 6 Boys Football Event at Anton Junior School - Tuesday 5th November Our boys were up against Anton Junior School in the second round of the Hampshire Cup. The hosts scored

early on in the 2nd minute but Netley were able to bring the score to 3-1. It was then the host’s turn to get a few goals and managed to bring it back to 3-3, forcing extra time with penalties. Each team had 6 penalties in

the end with Netley scoring the winning goal! On to the next round!

The Team: Josh, Keelan, Magnus, Reuben, Austin, Mylo, Evan, Joey, Abdelrahman and Ollie.

Year 4 & 5 Dodgeball Festival at Wildern School - Tuesday 5th November Our children took part in a Dodgeball Tournament and worked really hard playing against other schools. Even though they were short of players, all the children worked incredibly well and proudly represented our school

for us. We are very thankful and hopefully they will represent the school again soon. Written by Millie, Evie and Phoebe

The Team: Ralph, Rachel, Aubrey, Isaac and Ruby.

Year 5 & 6 Netball Tournament at Boundary Oak School - Wednesday 6th November We competed in a netball competition at Boundary Oak School. We played against 2 schools, played 4 games and then had a break and played those teams again. We drew 3 and won 1 game but disappointingly lost the other 4 games. In our team we had 8 wonderful players, it was a 5 a side game and the other 3 were writing

the points down or were looking for good ideas for their next game. We thought we did very well because we hadn’t really had much practice and we came joint third. After they invited us to have a slice of cake, hot dogs

and doughnuts! Thank you for having us. Written by Lexie and Ruby.

The Team: Matilda, Lily, Poppy, Sienna, Ruby, Lexie, Annabelle and Madison.
