Train hard and play hard and results will happen to those that want it the most. This Saturday night is our club Trivia Night. The doors open at 6pm the first question will be just after 7pm. Match reports

Under 20’sA very Sombre performance against a very sharp Deception Bay Team on a mission, going down very convincingly. Joeys are still hanging outside the top 4 and bashing on the door!! Banyo this week, hope the boys can get back on track. Put in 4 your coach who gives up his time voluntarily and give it your best shot eh? Banyo this week at 12pm kick off!

Open’sOur Open’s, once again, running te gauntlet. Many of the fellas travelling to Mitchelton to play their Reserves game, getting outgunned by Mitchy and then back to Joeys straight after to play the home games against the Bayside Warriors, again to find it tough.

This week the have switched places with the 3’s at Mitchelton and 4’s at home.

Rhino Finance U7’sWe travelled to Redcliffe to play 2 games against the Dolphins with reduced player numbers due to school holidays. A hard task for some league followers, but not for the Rhino Finance U7's.  The 14 boys played their hearts out for 2 over hours on a rock hard pitch in the middle of a hot day to record comfortable victories in both games.   The boys were remarkable giving Sean one of those days where he remembers why he coaches. It was a great team effort all day.  Rowan was denied a well deserved try by a whisker, as he dived for the corner the touchy ruled he crossed the sideline before grounding the ball.  Brady scored a couple of tries, andWilson and Timmy picked up their usual bagful.  One of Timmy's tries was the length of the field, with 10 sidesteps and nobody laid a hand on him. Will Greentree had obviously been practising his tackling on his brothers over the holidays because he pulled off several big hits.  The rock hard ground caused several bleeding knees, but that didn't stop Kye - probably the littlest bloke playing footy at Joey's making some of the best grasscutter tackles you'll see.   Nash and Braedyn also showed how much they have improved, but the day belonged to Azor who constantly ran around, through or over 3 or 4 boys each time he got the ball.Next weekend we are at home to farewell a team favourite in Frankie, who is moving to Chinchilla.  Frankie is a great kid on and off the field, always polite, friendly and happy to do whatever job the coach asks of him without complaining.  He's a player we'll all miss and we are sorry to see him go but wish him all the best.

U10’sAnother nail biter for our mighty U10s. Our opponents Albany Creek who turned up with a definite WIN on their minds. To their credit our boys held their composure and fought back from behind winning at the final whistle 32-30.A great effort from all our boys, showing not only their talented skills and dominant defence but most of all their willingness to put their bodies on the line for their fellow team mates. How exciting for us as parents to have the privilege of watching our boys play each week, you all must be proud as am I. A special mention to my GREAT manager Kim and Asst coach Duane, I cant thank you both enough for the time and effort you give myself and our team, you make my job as a coach that much easier each week and I appreciate it very much.Last but not least, A BIG thank you to all our awesome parents who work themselves around their busy lives to turn upto every training and game with their children. Your support has been great thus far and i know it will continue for the rest of our season. Much appreciated mums and dads. UP OUR MIGHTY U10s.Dean Martin

The Ruby Blue Solutions Under 9s Vs Brighton.

We played Brighton on Friday night and it was a very comfortable win for the mighty under 9s. I am not sure what the score was but we had them covered by probably 50 points in the end. It was a bit rusty as the kids had not trained for nearly 3 weeks so I was happy to let them go out and enjoy themselves and I think they all had fun. Special mention to Jess who bagged a double and to my MVP on the night, Big Chris Ryan – well played champion. All in all we gave them a lesson in how to play footy and I was happy with our attitude and team work. As I mentioned to the kids after the game, we now have a big squad in the under 9s so I expect everyone to be at both training sessions now on and compete for starting spots. We are very blessed to have a magical team so I will do my best to give every one a fair go providing their training and their attitude is good. I would also like to welcome my little mate Jack to our team. He has played with Aspley for the last couple of years but transferred just before deadline to join the side. His older brother Will is part of our champion under 11s team and I am sure Jack will enjoy his new team. I ask all of our parents to make Jack and his family feel welcome into our team. We have a great parent base in our side so cheer loud and be proud of ALL of our team. We play Brothers this Friday night at Joeys so I look forward to once again showcasing our wonderful little team in front of you all. UP SAINTS!!
