News and Announcements
We had a very special guest visit our classroom onThursday. World War II pilot and Purple Heartrecipient, Grandpa Bill Hurter, came in to speak about military service during World War II. We enjoyedhearing Mr. Hurter share his stories and answer ourquestions. Thank you to the entire Hurter family fotaking the time to come in to our classroom and make Veterans Day so meaningful.
Please be sure to mark your calendars with the additiodates I added to the left. We have a very busy couplweeks coming up before Thanksgiving break. This nexweek, we have a States and Capitals test, a Health tand a Rock Cycle test. Please be sure your child spentime each night preparing for the tests.
Our class has been assigned canned vegetables for the
Thanksgiving Food Drive. For every 20 cans we collectyour children will earn a Wonderful tally. Additionally, Bulb Brigade will take place on November 21st. If you hany flower bulbs you would like to donate for this specevent, please send them in. Also on Monday, we will haMetric Olympics. We are looking for several parentvolunteers to help with this exciting event.
Math Club is on Tuesday this week. Please be sure yo
child is at school in time to begin work promptly at 8:00
