our newsletter gives you additional information on up-to-date reporting on the rele-
vant topics of homeland safety and security – civil protection, disaster assistance, spe-
cial situation, major events – as well as security research. Usually, we give you informa-
tion on articles published in our recent issue of Global Security.
But this time we send you a specific newsletter with regard to the Milipol Qatar 2018
exhibition in Doha: Every two years, Milipol Qatar attracts and welcomes to Doha the
biggest companies in the public and industrial security sector in the world. These com-
panies showcase the latest products and service innovations in the fields of security,
safety, detection and prevention equipment and systems as well as various other de-
fence supplies.

Milipol Qatar, the 12th edition of the leading international exhibition
dedicated to homeland security and Civil Defence in the Middle East
region 2018, will set the agenda for internal security and public safety
with leading international specialists bringing new products and solu-
tions, across a range of industries, to the much-heralded exhibition and
conference that will be held from 29-31 October 2018, at Doha Exhibi-
tion and Convention Center (DECC).
Milipol Qatar 2018 will be held under the patronage of H.H the Emir of
Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the three-day show has
already attracted leading industry players from across the globe who
will showcase their latest innovations for safety and security.
To date, defence specialists from Qatar, France, Turkey, Bulgaria,
China, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Spain Morocco, UK, USA, Russia and
Slovenia have confirmed their participation, across industries including
public security, defence solutions and equipment, telecom security and
technologies, firefighting, radiation detection, emergency equipment,
law enforcement products, communications software, airports security
systems and more.
Organized by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) of the State of Qatar and
the French-based Comexposium Security, Milipol Qatar will include
several country pavilions – including France, Italy, Germany, UK and
North America – and serves as the link between buyers, purchasing
advisors, users, security and safety experts, manufacturers and dis-
tributors.
The must-attend show is the ideal platform to network and close deals
for a better, safer future for all. The exhibition presents increasing
opportunities for organizations across the full spectrum of sectors,
with links to civil defence and homeland security, to demonstrate how
they can contribute towards safety and security for the world’s popula-
tion.

The addition of live demonstration for the first time to Milipol Qatar,

and press. Milipol Qatar 2018 is a trade-only event, open exclusively to
defence and security industry specialists and professionals. The exhibi-
tion is open from 9.30am – 5.00pm on Monday, 29 and Tuesday, 30
October, and from 9.30am – 4pm on Wednesday, 31 October.

Milipol Qatar is the international event for homeland security and
civil defence in the Middle East. It takes place every two years (even-
numbered years) in Doha. The 12th edition of the show will be held
from 29 to 31 October 2018 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention
Center (DECC).
An extensive experience in the event industry
The worldwide exhibition of homeland security – Milipol – has been
organized for the first time in 1984 in Paris and occurs every odd-
numbered year. In 1996, the State of Qatar chose the Milipol trade-
mark for its international references to launch an event dedicated to
homeland security in the Middle East.
The Milipol Qatar exhibition is being held under the authority of the
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser
Bin Khalifa Al-Thani. A Milipol Qatar Committee is responsible for the
organisation of the event in Doha in close relationship with the Milipol
team based in Paris.

The event is known for the professionalism and the quality of atten-
dees, for showcasing the latest innovative products and services and

Opening hours for Milipol Qatar 2018, the international event for
homeland security and civil defence, are as follows:
Monday 29th October & Tuesday 30th October: 9.30am – 5.00pm
Wednesday 31st October: 9.30am – 4.00pm

Note: The exhibition is reserved for security professionals. Minors
under 16 are not allowed to attend the event.
Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC)
This new exhibition centre is the most modern exhibition hall in the
Middle East. It is located in "West Bay" at the heart of the Doha's busi-
ness district, and surrounded by big shopping malls, luxury hotels and a
few minutes away from the popular "Corniche" waterfront.
The Doha Exhibition and Convention Center offers 29,000 square me-
tres of modular, 18-metre high ceiling exhibition space. There are no
pillars in the exhibiting area, which enables to display big vehicles,
machines and other heavy equipment inside the halls.
The car park under the Convention Centre can accommodate 2,815
vehicles and 200 taxis.
