MIS Whanau Support
Group Hangi
Kia ora te whanau, we have had an amazing response to
our kapa haka hangi fundraiser for our piu piu which
we are holding this Saturday in conjuncon with Maori
Language Week. Thank you so much for all of your
generous donaons of kai and koha - it is very much
appreciated.
We are looking for helpers on Saturday at 4.00pm in the
art room to pack hangi food into containers. If you are
available please phone the school on 889 6629.
A reminder that people can sll order and pay for a hangi
meal tomorrow ($7 per meal). Meals are to be picked up
at 5.00pm from the MIS dome on Saturday.

Parent — Teacher Interviews are coming up;instructions are listed below on how to book.
Now you can book school interviews for the
times that suit you. Simply enter the schoolcode (7W7HC) and press "Go".
You will be guided through three steps & youwill get an email confirming your interview.
NB: Miss Williams class (room 11)interviews will take place on Monday &Tuesday of next week, all other classes will be on Monday 8th & Tuesday 9th August.

The Tainui Disco is next Thursday (14th July) from
7.00pm-9.00pm. The theme is ‘T Party’. Students
must receive an invitation from school to be able to
purchase a ticket ($3 each). Invitations will be hand-
ed out to students. Students with excessive demeritpoints (8 or more) for the term will not receive an
invitation as part of our “Choices” programme.
Food, drinks etc will be available for purchase at the
disco. No child will leave the hall during the time of
the disco. Children must be collected from the
school hall by an adult at 9.00pm.
There will be a mufti day held on Friday 15th July
Students must pay a gold coin donation which willgo towards a student council chosen activity.Please wear clothing suitable for school and for P.E.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
School will finish at the earlier time of 2.50pm onMonday 8th and Tuesday 9th August to allowteachers the opportunity to prepare for their
interviews. Buses will run as usual.
Speech Finals Congratulations to the following students who willpresent their speeches in the hall tomorrow at our school speech nals starting at 9.20am. Parents arevery welcome to come along.

We are continuing to recycle paper
here at MIS. All classes have a
paper recycling bin which studentsfrom each class are responsible for.
We recently received six native shrubs and grasses
from Paper 4 Trees which have been planted in the
bark garden by the front gate.
Kindling Wood for sale as a Sports CampFundraiser—$12.50 for a banana box
of kindling. Phone the office 889 6629.
