Our quote for this half term is… “It takes a strong person to say sorry, and an even stronger person to forgive.” It would really help if you could follow this up with your children at home and talk to them about what forgiveness means. St Thomas’ St Thomas’ ‘Privacy Notice’ (How we use pupil information) is now available to view at www.stthomasblackburn.org in the ‘Parents’ section. Collecting your child If your child is being collected by another adult, please can you inform the office before 3.00pm in order for staff to inform class teachers. Reading We are now asking for all children’s reading books to be brought into school every day. Children will still read to the teacher on their designated day. This will allow us to read more regularly with the children and reinforces the importance of reading. We hold a weekly competition. Parent and Child Workshop We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to work with our Family Learning Tutor, Jackie Wickes. On Wednesday 3rd April from 9am, Jackie will be running her KS2 ‘Harry Potter’ maths workshop in the school hall. During the session you be able to work with your child completing different maths activities. The session will run from 9am - 11am and is promised to be fun and engaging. Please note this is for KS2 children and their parents. Please indicate whether you will be able to attend the workshop using our online system.
