ASHP PRESIDENT

Welcome to Denver and the ASHP Summer Meetings

It is great to be back in Denver for the 2015 ASHP Summer Meet-ings and Exhibition. This event is the perfect

blend of learning and networking, and I am so glad you could join us this week.

Our efforts to provide you with timely and prac-tical programming have resulted in the addition of a new boutique confer-ence to our educational community: the Ambulatory Care Conference. As with the other specialized meetings here in Denver—Informatics Institute; Pharmacy, Practice & Policy; and Medication Safety Col-

laborative—you’ll hear from experts, explore topics that are relevant to your professional life, and establish meaningful connections with your peers.

I also want to welcome all of the members who are here for the ASHP House of Delegates and thank you for your work to create the professional policy that allows ASHP to help improve patient care and advance pharmacy practice. Your work helps ASHP achieve our vision that medication use will be optimal, safe, and effective for all people all of the time.

I hope you take full advantage of all that the Summer Meetings have to offer. Feel free to share your thoughts with the ASHP Board of Directors and staff here in Denver or send an e-mail to [email protected].

Enjoy the week!
