Student Speak

Ernst & Young (EY) has always been my 'dream company’. The brand name was more than enough to keep me motivated. During their selection process the First round was the shortlisting of CVs then came the Aptitude round. The Aptitude test for EY had three sections: Verbal skills, Computer Programming and Logical Reasoning. I prepared for it very seriously. After I was through the Aptitude round, then came the GD (Group Discussion) round.

We were given a topic and anybody could initiate the discussion. It's always a plus point for the person who initiates, so I took the initiative and was active throughout the discussion. A person should be 'crystal clear' about his/her thoughts and should never stutter. Once through the GD round, I faced an HR interview which also included a few technical questions. I was then called for the Final interview which was the technical interview. That was the most difficult part of the selection process and stretched up to 50 minutes.

Foundation of your technical knowledge should be strong. Never try to fake. Portray the 'real you'. Be confident. Eliminate the fear inside. Always answer smartly. Most importantly, lead the conversation! I would specially like to thank the SPA team for their dedicated efforts.
