PELLET INJURY CASES FROM J &K

3 youngsters aged between 12 and 22 years arrived year at Hyderabad for treatment at LV Prasad Eye Hospital. All this youngsters have got grave injuries to the eye, resulting from pellet injuries in the recent violence – LVPEI has agreed to conduct the surgeries free of cost on our request. It is to be seen post surgeries, whether their eye sight can be restored or not.

Ambulance donated to the State department of women development & child welfare.

HHF has provided a new Omni Ambulance to the state department of women development & child welfare, Government of Telangana at Ameerpet, Hyderabad. The Department runs several Welfare Homes, within the campus at Ameerpet, the Rescue home, houses about 20 inmates mostly abandoned and rescued women, who have been victims of violence and abuse – nearly 200 orphans, semi orphans and abandoned children in the age group of 0 – 6 years and another 120 children, age group of 6 – 15 years are housed in the Sishu Vihar of the same campus. Most of the children are brought to the state home by the local police officials or are found and collected from Railway & Bus Stations. Hitherto all inmates were being sent to hospitals in auto rickshaws and sometimes in 108 Ambulances
