Click the [Import...] button. 15Mar12. * You can now BLOCK selected Nominal ledger accounts from being posted to in the 'Postings to Accounts' modules. Contact Revelation for more information. 20Nov11. * ADDED: A new option on the DASHBOARD to display the TOP TEN REPS SALES. 20Aug11 * You can now print Stock Labels on the Brother QL-570 Label printer. You need to install the printer Driver from the CD that comes with the printer and then you must download the Brother BPAC Client library 'bcciw30013.msi' from the Downloads > Utilities page of our website and install it (double-click on it). You can design your own label layouts using the P-Editor Label Editor program supplied on the Brother CD. The Label layout files (.LBX) must be saved in the Revelation folder on the FILE SERVER computer. 7Aug11. * In the invoice modules, we have added the ability to 'break-up' selected stock items 'on-the-fly' into their constituent parts when those parts are out of stock, allowing you to sell them directly without having to first manually break them up and book them into stock. To enable this, go to Setup > System Preferences > [Stock] tab and tick the 'On-the-fly disassembly of items on an Invoice' box. If ticked, when invoicing an item that is out of stock, but that item has the stockcode of the other item used to make it in its 'Superceded' field and the Quantity made when 'disassembling' that item in the 'Volume' field, it will disassemble it on-the-fly and sell the 'broken-up' stock. For more info, in the invoice module, press [F1] and search for 'Disassemble'. 16Jun11. * When you select to output a report to a FILE (on the Revelation Printer Dialog), you now have the option to output it with a Comma or Tab delimiter separating the columns. Included in ALL Reporting modules. 12Jun11.

* The 'IMPORT JOURNALS from an External file' option (under Nominal Postings) now caters for Past Period Journal Dates (Past Period Journals will now longer be put into the CURRENT Period). 16May11. * After posting Bank Journals and Sundry Payments/Deposits (under Nominal Postings or in the Bank Recon module), you now have the option to PRINT the Audit Trail for the list of transactions in that posting run. 9Apr11. * For those Users who find the new shaded SuperMenu buttons too dark, you can now set them to a lighter plain colour. Go to Setup > User Preferences and tick the 'Use plain colours for SuperMenu buttons'. You will need to exit Revelation before this change takes effect. 7Apr11. * In order to prepare Revelation users for the Consumer Protection Act, the Invoice and Quote modules now cater for printing a 'Terms & Conditions' section on Letter Quality (Laser) invoices. Go to Setup > Terminal Preferences > [Doc. Layouts] tab and click the downarrow in the Sales Invoices field on the LEFT and select 'PLAINCPA.WIN'. Click the downarrow in the QUOTES field on the left and select 'PLAINCPA.WQT'. Click [Save]. DO THIS ON ALL TERMINALS. To input your Terms & Conditions, select [Sales Invoices] on the Quick Access menu. Click the [Set this Terminal's Invoice layout/Message] button on the first Invoice screen and select the [Term Msg] option. Input up to 12 lines of Conditions. 31Mar11. * When searching for Sales Quotes to Amend/Reprint, you now have a new option to search based on the 1st Delivery Address line. 13Feb11. * When attaching pictures to Stock records, there is now a [Browse] button on the Find Picture screen (once you have clicked [Edit] on a stock record and left-clicked the Picture box). When you click the [Browse] button, you can search anywhere (on any drive) for the required picture. Once you select the picture, Rev will copy the picture file to the Revelation \Pics folder and automatically attach it to the current stock record. 25Jan11. * When copying the Price List from a selected Debtor to a Range of other Debtor a/c's, you now have the option of specifying the Branch Code PREFIX as the range identifier. This is ideal for linked branch a/c's. 10Jan11 * When Revelation charges Interest on Overdue Debtor a/c's, it also charges interest on interest amounts charged in earlier periods as well. We have been informed that this may contravene the National Credit Act of 2005. Revelation will now (by default) avoid charging 'interest on interest'. However, should you want to continue charging interest the old way, you can tick the box labelled 'Also charge interest on Interest amounts charged in previous months' on the Interest Parameter screen displayed just before the Interest Charge process begins. It then becomes YOUR resposibility. 17Nov10.

* In MULTI-WAREHOUSE systems, when creating a Branch Sales or Purchase ORDER for another warehouse, you can now have the option of automatically creating the opposite Order in the Target Warehouse. Go to Setup > System Preferences > [Order/Quote] tab and tick the "Branch Orders: also create order in target W/House" box. 15Nov10. * When importing a Sales Order/Quote into an Invoice and the Quantity on the Order/Quote exceeds the OnHand available, a warning will be displayed. On this warning screen, a new button [Input Qty] allows you to specify how many of that item you want to supply. 15Nov10. * In MULTI-WAREHOUSE systems, you can now specify the default Nominal Inter-Branch Transfer a/c for each Warehouse. In the Inter-Branch Transfer modules, you are then prompted with the appropriate a/c based on the warehouse being transferred From/To. Set each Warehouse's default Transfer a/c on the [Warehouses] tab under Setup >> System Preferences. 2Nov10. * You can now input NEGATIVE QUANTITIES on Sales QUOTES. This allows users to also break down and build 'kits' on Sales Quotes (as they already do on Sales Invoices) and then import the Sales Quote into an Invoice. However, you can NOT input negative quantities on Sales ORDERS (and you cannot import Quotes with negative quantities into Sales Orders). 2Nov10. * The GRN CONTENTS report (under Print Creditor Reports) can now be printed in Internal GRN No. sequence. On the Report Parameters screen, tick the "Print only GRN Headers" box. You are then prompted whether you want to print the report in Internal GRN No. sequence. 21Oct10. * The Company [Search] function (on the Startup screen under [Load Another Company]) now displays the current list of Companies in Alphabetical sequence (along with the company number, date of last access and disk number). 14Oct10. * The 5c Rounding function that is used in the Invoice module has now also been added to Sales Quotes and Sales Orders. Go to Setup > System Preferences > [General] tab and use the "Round Debtor Sales down to nearest xxx cents" option to set this up. 11Oct10. * When inserting a DEBTOR Payment from a DOWNLOADED bank statement and Payments Rep Analysis has been ENABLED (Setup >> System >> Accounts), you can now select a RepCode for that payment. 7Oct10. * The way Revelation handles Invoiced Sales to COD (Cash) Debtor a/c's has been changed. From now on, the Amount Tendered is an integral part of the Invoice process itself - if you Cancel at the Tendered section, the entire Invoice is cancelled as well (before, the Invoice had already been processed at that stage). If you want to allow COD Debtors the option of paying LESS than the Invoice value, go to Setup >> System

Preferences >> [Accounts] tab and tick the 'Allow Payment to be less than Drs Invoice total' box. 11Sep10. * ADDED: When using the Print INVOICE CONTENTS option under Print Debtor Reports, if you tick the 'Only show Invoice HEADERS' box, you now also prompted whether you'd like to print each Invoice's DELIVERY ADDRESS as well. 5Aug10. * ADDED: When displaying a Bill-of-Materials Recipe, there is now a [Profit] button that will display the Profit% for that Recipe based on the Cost Prices of the component items compared to the manufactured item's Selling Price. 22Jul10. * Added a Backup option (Utilities >> Backup) that backs up your data file to Revelation's FTP website via an ADSL line. 14Jul10. * ADDED: The option to print the INTERNAL ORDER No. as a BARCODE on a Letter Quality (Laser) Sales Order layout. Then, in the Invoice module, there is a new button [Import Sales Order into Invoice] on the first screen that prompts you to "Scan or Input the Internal Sales Order No.". Use a Barcode Scanner to scan the barcode printed on the Sales Order (or type it in) and it pulls the Order into a New Invoice in that Debtor's Name. To print the Barcode on Sales Orders, select the Letter Quality layout PLAINBAR.WSO. 13Jul10. * To improve the readability of the NOTES field when displaying Debtor, Creditor and Stock records (from the SuperMenu), you can now simply LEFT-click the Notes field (once) and it will double in size. Click it again to reduce it back to its default size. You can also edit it in its enlarged mode (first click it to enlarge it, then click [Edit]). 27Jun10. * When registering additional Companies in Revelation and you are a Revelation Contract Client, you will now be able to click the [Register OnLine] button to register the new company instead of phoning Revelation for a Registration Number. 22Jun10. * ADDED: A 'Top 10 Debtors by Sales' report listing your Top Clients by value of Sales for a Date Range. Go to Print Debtor Reports > Stock Sales by Debtor > Top 10 Debtors by Sales (Current or Past). Specify how many Debtors to include (default = 10). 13Jun10. * ADDED: A 'Top 10 Creditors by Purchases' report listing your Top Suppliers by value of Purchases for a Date Range. Go to Print Creditor Reports > Stock Purchases by Creditor > Top 10 Creditors by Purchases (Current or Past). Specify how many Creditors to include (default = 10). 13Jun10. * You can now have more than one Nominal Bank a/c in the ACHIEVER package. When you open a New Nominal a/c, there is an 'Is this a Bank a/c?' CheckBox that you tick. 29Apr10.

* ADDED: Support for DUAL VIDEO MONITORS so that Rev can run on the 2nd monitor. Note that, the small 'splash screen' that displays whenever you load another module in Rev may still display on the FIRST monitor. You can disable the Splash Screen by adding the directive 'NOSPLASH' into the command line of the ShortCut (in the 'Target' field after 'ProWin.exe'). ALL modules. 20Apr10. * When using the INPUT STOCKTAKE COUNT option (under Stock Master File Updates), you now have the option of displaying the stock items in the following new Sequences: StockCODE sequence within each Stock CATEGORY, Description sequence within each Stock CATEGORY, StockCODE sequence within each BIN, Description sequence within each BIN. 1Mar10. * When Warehouse mode is enabled, you may now link Nominal Accounts to a selected Warehouse. When printing Nominal Ledger reports, you are able to specify which Warehouse to print/export the report for (default is for ALL Warehouses). If you specify a Warehouse, you have the option of including those accounts that are set to ALL warehouses. Obviously, the totals at the end of a Trial Balance for a specific warehouse are unlikely to 'balance', but this is quite normal. You link nominal accounts to a warehouse by editing each account's master record (via the [Nominal] button on the Supermenu). 18Feb10. * Under Rep Reports, you can now handle REP ANALYSIS by STOCK CATEGORY. You can also specify a Rep's COMMISSION% for each Stock Category. Go to Master File Updates > Debtors > Setup Reps > Amend any Rep > click [Setup Rep Commission formula] > select the 3rd option. Click the [Set Comm% per Category] button to set the Commission% per Stock Category. NOTE: The Comm% per Category applies to ALL Reps. You must also specify (per Rep) whether the Comm% per Category is calculated on the Total Sales amount or the Profit Amount. 14Feb10. * When looking for the best price for stock items, you can now email a QUOTE REQUEST to multiple Suppliers (Creditors). First, open a dummy Creditor a/c (name it QUOTE REQUEST A/C). Then, go to Purchase Orders. Call up the Quote Request a/c and input the stock items that you want to be quoted on. It is processed as a Purchase Order. Then, in the Purchase Order module, select to 'Reprint Old Orders' and call up that Order. Click the [EMail] button. Click the [Email as a QUOTE REQUEST...] button. All your Creditor a/c's (with email addresses) are displayed. Tick the Suppliers to email the Quote Request to. You can also add temporary Suppliers to this list. After selecting the cheapest Supplier, create a Purchase Order for them. In the first Stockcode field, press [F9] and select the [Import Order] option and import the Quote Request order from the dummy a/c. Finally, cancel the Quote Request order in the dummy a/c. 3Feb10. * A new SUB-GROUP field has been added to General Ledger accounts. This allows you to further classify similar accounts into a Sub-Group. For example, create a SALARIES Sub-Group and allocate all your Salaries accounts to it. Then, when you use the Print Financial Statements option (under Print Nominal Reports), you can tick the

'Where accounts belong to a Sub-Group, only show Totals by Sub-Group' box. Only ONE Salaries entry will be listed on the report showing the total of ALL Salaries accounts. To set up Sub-Groups, go to Master File Updates > Nominal > Setup SUB-Groups. 24Jan10. * When using the NovaPDF option to send Emailed Attachments from Rev, you can now opt to send the emails directly via the SMTP Server (instead of placing them in your Email Program's OutBox). This option is provided for those Rev Users who have had some clients reporting that the emails arrive without the attachments (invoices, statements, etc). Go to Setup >> Terminal Preferences >> [PDF File] tab >> in the NovaPDF frame, tick the 'User SMTP Server...' box and fill in the SMTP fields. 21Jan10. * In the Excel ANALYSIS Export options (Print Nominal Reports >> Excel), you now have the option to exclude accounts that have Zeroes in all the period columns. You can also opt to only export Income and Expenditure OR only Assets and Liabilities. 3Jan10. * You can now import NOMINAL BUDGETS from an Excel spreadsheet. Master File Updates >> Nominal >> [Master] >> Account Budgets >> Import Budgets. READ CAREFULLY HOW THE SPREADSHEET MUST BE STRUCTURED. 31Dec09. * A new FINANCIAL STATEMENTS report option has been added (under 'Print Nominal Reports'). This prints Financial Statements (Income Statement and/or a Balance Sheet) in the traditional Auditor format (on a Laser or InkJet printer). To print 'Notes' for selected accounts at the end of the report, input the Notes into those account's NOTES fields. The Notes will be numbered in the report and refer to the Notes printed at the end. 21Dec09. * The Multi-Warehousing mode in Revelation can now cater for up to 19 warehouses in the EMPIRE BUILDER version. 31Dec09. * You can now also post PAST PERIOD 'Single-Contra Journals' as well under the Past Period Journals option in Nominal Postings. This is like a Bank Journal, but allows you to specify any nominal account as the default contra account. 28Nov09. * On the Profit & Loss report, when printing in Department/CostCentre sequence, you now have the option of printing the Gross Profit% below each Dept Total. Tick the 'Print Gross Profit%...' box. 26Nov09. * From now on, when printing a TRIAL BALANCE, all the various parameter settings are now shown on ONE screen. Also, the default Trial Balance option is to only print the YEAR-TO-DATE columns. If you require the MONTH-TO-DATE columns as well, tick the 'Also show Period-to-Date...' box. There is also a new option to print the Gross Profit% below the Expenditure totals. 26Nov09.

* In accordance with new Vat regulations, tax invoices emailed as PDF files (via NovaPDF) will now print the words 'Computer Generated' above the Tax Invoice heading. 31Oct09. * In the Stock Sales by Item report (CURRENT), there is now a box you can tick to show the Quantity of Sales for each item for the same period LAST YEAR. SReports.zip. 18Oct09. * Due to a significant negative response to the new feature added recently that forced you to input the correct sign (minus or not) for Nominal contra entries in hand-written Invoices, Credit Notes and Adjustment Journals, THIS HAS BEEN SET BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS (Revelation handles the signs for you at the time of processing). If you wish to retain the new feature (and input the appropriate sign on Nominal Contras), go to Setup >> User Preferences >> [General] tab and REMOVE the tick in the 'Do not enforce correct Nom. signs in Drs/Crs Posting' box. 12Oct09. * In the Invoice and Point-of-Sale modules, a [Lock Down] button has been added to allow a Till Operator to 'lock down' their terminal when they need to leave their terminal unattended for a while. They have to input their User Access Password to UNlock the terminal. NOTE: The [LockDown] button is NOT visible if that User has NO User Access Password. 8Oct09. * When creating a New Company in Revelation, you are now able to set up your General Ledger structure in an Excel spreadsheet and tell Revelation to import that General Ledger structure when creating the new company. For assistance on how to define the General Ledger structure in the spreadsheet, refer to the 'NOMINAL.XLS' spreadsheet in the Revelation for Windows folder. To import an external spreadsheet into the new company's General Ledger, tick the 'Use custom General Ledger setup file' box at the bottom of the 'New Company Setup' window. 1Oct09. * Two new fields have been added to the Recurring Charge file. 1) Anniversary Date: This would be the date the Charge was first captured in an account. You can then use the 'Amend Charge Amounts' option every year to only increase Charges that were captured in a selected month. 2) CutOff Date: If you have Charges that expire (ie: must only be charged for a set period of time), you input the End Date into this field. When running Recurring Charges, any charges where the Charge Date is later than the Cut Off Date will be excluded from the run. 28Sep09. * Normally, when you do a Recurring Charge Run or print a list of Recurring Charges, you are prompted to specify to select FROM what Charge Code TO what Charge Code (all Charges in between are also included). This may not suit you. There is a new option 'Setup predefined Charge ranges' where you can specify the actual individual Charge Codes to be included in a range. You can setup up to 99 predefined Charge Code ranges (01 through 99). You give each Charge Range a name (eg: January, February, etc). You then specify which Charge Codes must be included in that range. When you do a Recurring Charge RUN or print a list of charges, you have the option of specifying

the FROM >> TO range –or- you can click the [Select a predefined Charge Range] button and select the required Range from the displayed list. 28Sep09. * The Stock NOTES field has been added to the list of fields you can search on when doing a PATTERN search from the Supermenu. 18Sep09. * To cater for those users who want to pay Creditors Cash from their Tills, we have added the following option. Under Postings to Accounts >> Creditors, you can now post Cash Paid to CREDITORS from the TILL. This is like a normal Creditor Payment except it comes out of that User's TILL a/c. It shows up as 'Cash paid to Creditors' on the Cash Up printout and the Cash Till Recon (under Audit Reports) and is deducted from the Till Cash Total. Note that this option is NOT available when operating the Tills under the 'Shift' mode. 9Sep09. * You can now create a DEBIT ORDER file from selected Recurring Charge runs that can be emailed to your Bank to automatically Debit those client's bank accounts with the Charge amounts and transfer them to your account. You will have to negotiate the Debit Order terms with your Bank. Go to Recurring Charges >> Debit Orders. 2Sep09. * In the 'Print Transaction Reports (Audit) option, under [Turnover] (Current), there is now an option to 'Print CURRENT Turnover for a selected Date Range (eg: Today)'. This allows you to display/print the Turnover for today (or a date range in the current period). It also prints a comparison for the same date range LAST year. 21Aug09. * When running the Bill-of-Materials 'Update Costs in Recipe based items' option, you now have the option to only update the LATEST COST field (instead of both Latest and Average Costs). 21Aug09. * There have been random reports of Revelation crashing when emailing a large number of Statements or Recurring Invoices when using the NovaPDF interface. To prevent this, you can now tell Revelation to wait for 'x' seconds after each batch of 'y' emails. This allows the email buffer to clear before resuming the run. Under Print Debtor Reports >> Statements, select 'Set Timer to slow down bulk emails'. Under Recurring Charges >> [Recurring] dropdown, select 'Setup delay Timer for emailed invoices'. 16Aug09. * Added more calculation methods to the Advanced Rep's Commission calculation option. You can now decide how the calculations are handled within the break points that you set. On the Quick Access menu, go to Master File Updates >> Setup RepCodes >> select to Amend a Rep >> click [Setup Rep's Commission formula]. Select 'Advanced method'. Click the [?] button for info on the 3 calculation methods. 13Aug09. * In Stock Master records, a new flag has been added on the [Control] tab for Items that are 'non-POS' (non-saleable). These would normally be component items in BOM

recipes that are only used in manufacture - they are never sold. If ticked, you cannot add those items to Invoices/Sales orders/Sales Quotes. 10Aug09. * In 'Postings to Accounts' for Debtors/Creditors (Invoices, Cr.Notes, Adjustment Journals), you must now enter the correct SIGN (minus or not) for the NOMINAL CONTRA values to conform to bookkeeping principles. To revert to the old method (where Rev handled the sign for you when writing the entry to disk), go to Setup >> User Preferences >> [General] tab and tick the 'Do not enforce correct Nom. signs in Drs/Crs Posting' box. 27Jul09. * The EFT Tender type has been REMOVED from the Invoice and POS modules as it creates problems when balancing their daily Till CashUp. If required, the EFT option can be reinstated (per User) - go to Setup >> User Preferences >> [POS] tab >> tick the 'Allow EFT Tender type in Invoices and POS modules'. 20Jul09. * If COST-OF-SALES mode is switched ON and you do an IMPORT SPLIT on a GRN, the Import Split Expenses posted to Nominal accounts will now be transferred to the Stock Control a/c's as part of the Import Split mechanism (they go in and out of the Expense account(s). This maintains the parity between the Stock Valuation report and the Nominal Stock Control a/c's. If you do NOT want this to happen, go to Setup >> User Preferences >> [GRN] tab and tick the 'Do Not do auto expense reversal in Import splits' box. 13Jul09. * For those Users who find the new Apricot background colour behind the Supermenu and Quick Access menu a little too feminine, you can now change it back to a darker colour. Go to Setup >> User Preferences >> [General] tab >> bottom-right frame. Set 'Super menu background'. 28Jun09. * We have begun upgrading the 'look' of Revelation to match the Windows XP and Vista 'look'. This will be phased in over the coming weeks. 27May09. * When displaying an account’s Transactions (Debtors, Creditors or Nominal), you now have the option to click [Find] to search for a matching piece of data in that period’s transactions for that account. You are prompted to input the data to search for. This could be a RefCode, Amount, Narration, Date, etc. You do not have to input the entire field (eg: Narration) – just a portion of the required data can be input. If the search is successful, Rev shows that transaction as the first transaction in the transaction window. You can then click [Find Next] to search for more instances of the search data in that period (or you can move to another period and search there). 16May09. * If you are 'hanging over' into the new period and you select to print Current Debtor STATEMENTS as at Today, Rev will now calculate the Statement's Age Analysis as if a Month End Update had already been run. 5May09.

* If you are hanging over into the next period and you select to process/print a DEBTOR INVOICE, the Debtor Age Analysis shown on the Debtor Info screen (if enabled) will be the Age Analysis as it would be AFTER a Month ENd Update has been run. 27Apr09. * Added a Settlement Discount Calculator when processing "Cash Received for Debtor a/c" in the INVOICE module. You press [F5] in the Amount to be Paid field to activate the Calculator. Note that this is only available if that User/Operator is allowed to give Settlement Discounts (Setup >> User preferences >> [General] tab). 27Apr09. * In the BANK JOURNALS and SUNDRY Payments/Deposits options, you can now select the Narration from a Stored List of narrations. 15Apr09. * If you activate the VISUAL PLU key mechanism (Setup > System Preferences > PLU Keys) you are now able display pictures on the PLU buttons instead of each item's Description. The picture files (preferably .JPG files) must be stored a folder named "PluPics" in the Revelation company folder on the File Server. The picture resolution should be about 165 pixels wide x 90 pixels high. 18Mar09. * Added a new Vat REPORT (under 'Print VAT Reports' that lists only Transactions found in the VAT Control file that were posted as PAST-PERIOD entries (ie: they were posted into a Previous accounting period outside the Current Period). These entries often cause confusion where they are Adjustment entries which should NOT have been in the Vat Transactions at all. 14Feb09. * When posting STANDARD JOURNALS (particularly PAST PERIOD journals), and you post to the VAT REC'D or VAT PAID accounts, you now have the option to NOT update the Vat Control totals with that entry. In the VAT DETAILS window that pops up, tick the 'EXclude this entry from Vat/Tax Control Totals' box. 14Feb09 * In Transaction enquiries from the Supermenu, a TAX PERIOD column has been added to the TAX DATA window to help identify which Tax Period the displayed Vat Transaction appears in. 14Feb09. * In the Point-of-Sale CASH UP window, the [Auto Transfer...] and [Transfer Till Amount to Bank...] buttons can now be disabled for selected Operators. Go to Setup >> User Preferences >> [System Access] tab >> [Invoicing] button >> After Invoice options >> Last 2 options. 11Feb09. * In a Point-of-Sale environment, when using the [Cash-Up] option in the Invoice or POS modules and you use Rev's 'Cash Calculator', any Cash Overs/Unders will now be printed on that Operator's CashUp printout. If the operator then selects the [Auto Transfer to Till Suspense a/c] option, the Overs/Unders amount is shown as a separate entry with a suffix of 'X' in the Transaction Reference Code. 11Feb09. * A Cell Phone field has been added to the Debtor and Creditor Master records. This field appears just below the [Phone] field on the Debtor and Creditor Master record

screens. If the Cell Phone field is not visible, proceed as follows. All other users must exit out of Revelation. Only ONE user must go back in and press the [F12] key in the 'Today's Date' field (instead of [Enter]). If there are Supplier A/c No's in these fields, Rev will look for folders in the \Pics folder with the A/c No's as names and you can then choose to search for the required picture in these folder(s) as well as the normal \Pics folder. This allows you to store all the stock pictures from a Supplier into a single sub-folder in the \Pics folder. You must just make sure that one of the Supplier A/c No's in that Supplier's Stock records has the Supplier's (Creditor) a/c number in it. DO NOT POSTPONE THE FIX INDEFINITELY AS THE DATA FILE MAY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. Note that, when the Fix has been postponed, everytime you go into Revelation, a red Alert window will popup reminding you that the Fix needs to be run. However, you are able to bypass this message. To postpone a Fix that Revelation forces on you, continue as if you are going to run the Fix until you click the [Fix]

dropdown menu. Instead of selecting the FIRST option, select the 5th option to 'Postpone the Fix...'. 26Dec07. * You can now print the recipe contents of recipe-based stock items on a Sales Order. As part of the file setup, Rev then automatically opens the necessary Sales/Purchases/COS and Stock accounts in the Nominal ledger, creates a Nominal Department linking these accounts together and creates a Stock Category for that Cost-Centre (using these nominal accounts). 12Oct07. * The emailing of SALES ORDERS will now also be done in PDF format if NovaPDF is installed (refer below). 12Oct07. * You can now print the NOMINAL ANALYSIS report in Department or Group sequence as well (with column totals). 11Oct07. * When printing Statements, the option to mix printing and emailing statements has been extended to also allow you to only EMAIL the statements to clients whose accounts are set to email (NO printing is done). To avoid this, include the word 'CASH' somewhere in the Debtor a/c NAME field and clear tick in the 'Is this a normal Debtor a/c?' field on the [Control] tab of the a/c (making it a COD a/c). This speeds up the whole process. If you have a CD dated after 10 July 2007, you will find the NovaPDF installer (NovaRev.exe) in the [Utilities] folder. You can also download NovaRev.exe from the [Downloads] >> [Jet 4] >> [Utilities] page at www.revelation.co.za. For some reason, ABSA puts the Bank account's CLOSING Balance into the <LEDGER> field in the download file whereas all other Banks put the OPENING Balance into it (??). If you find the running Total shown in the Total column of the downloaded file doesn't make sense, try the other .OFC format in Rev. 31May07. * There is now a TURNOVER report that lists the Turnover (Printed and Manual Invoice sales) as well as Deposits from Debtor and Cash Sales in selected periods in the Current or Last year. This causes havoc with the running total when displaying the downloaded statement. Rev displays the current setting next to the [?] button on the download window. To swop the calculation method, click the <Ledger>=xxxx label next to the [?] button. 3Apr07. * When using the 'Input Stocktake Count' options to perform a Stocktake, you can now instruct Revelation to update the OnHand's as at a specified Date when copying the Counted fields to the OnHands. Revelation makes the necessary adjustments to make the OnHand equal that quantity on that date. This allows you to update the OnHand fields as at the end of the Current Period (when 'hanging over' into the next period). This makes the 'Update Counted fields with recent Movements' option obsolete, so it has been removed. 28Mar07. * When creating Manufacturing Jobs in the Bill-of-Materials module, Revelation will now display a warning if there are already current Jobs in progress for the item you selected to manufacture. You can view the list of current jobs and display details of each of those jobs. 27Mar07. * When processing a sales invoice for a Debtor where their 'Charge Tax on Sales?' flag is UNticked, tax will now also be charged on the FREIGHT amount on the invoice (if any). If ticked, you are prompted to select the Period. * You can now REMOVE stock pictures from a stock record. Call up the stock record, click [Edit], click the picture and click [Remove] on the popup list. 14Mar07. * You can now email a range of Debtor Invoices to a specified email address OR to the email addresses found in each invoice's Debtor account. In the invoice module, select [Reprint Old Invoices] and input the first and last invoice number in the appropriate fields. Then, tick the [Email] box alongside the range fields and follow the displayed instructions. 11Mar07. * If you own one or more NORDIC ID RF601 Wireless handheld data capturing devices, a new option has been added to the 'Input Stocktake Count' menu (under Stock Master File updates) where the Stocktake COUNT fields in stock records are automatically updated by counted info sent from the handheld device(s) in real time. 8Mar07 * A new option has been added to the Invoice and POS modules to allow you to link different pack sizes of the same stock item together. For example, in a Liquor Store, you sell individual Cans of beer, but you also sell 6-Packs (6), Dozens (12) and Crates (24). The prices of each Can in the different configurations usually differs (slightly cheaper in the crates, etc). For more info, press the [F1] key when in the Invoice module and do an index search for 'Liquor'. 8Mar07. * For Point-of-Sale environments that use 'touch-screens', you can now set up 160 Visual PLU buttons that are displayed on-screen in either the Invoice or POS modules in 10 groups of 16 buttons each. You set these up under System Preferences >> [PLU Keys] >> [Setup Visual PLU keys]. Then on each User's Preferences >> [POS] tab, set which module you want to use the Visual PLU's (Invoice, POS or Both). 03Mar07. * If you recently used the 'Input Stocktake Count' option, but were forced to start trading again BEFORE you were able to copy the Stock Counted fields to the OnHand fields, there is a new option to update the Stock Counted field with all Stock Movements since a specified date. After updating the Stock Counted fields, you would then run the 'Copy Counted fields to OnHands' option to set the OnHand fields to the Counted values. This option is on the 'Input Stocktake Count' menu under Stock Master File Updates. 27Feb07. * In multi-warehouse mode, when displaying Stock Movements in enquiry mode (when you click [Transactions] on the Stock Master window), Revelation only displays the Movements of that item in the CURRENT Warehouse (as displayed in red in the bottom
