Shop Hop begins September 10 – 12, 2015. This year’s theme is “Color Theory in a Basket” All shops will be offering a demonstration on color theory and how it applies to quilting. Returning this year – Shop Hop Bag for $14.99: During the hop present the bag to each shop to receive 10% off your entire purchase of regularly priced items. Food Donations will be accepted once again and distributed to local food banks. New Block of The Month We are pleased to announce our new Block of the Month – GRAVITY by JAYBIRD QUILTS. This BOM will begin in March and end in December (10 months). Make a Blanket Day is Saturday, February 21, 2015. No sewing ability required! Join us in the classroom to make blankets for Project Linus. We will be tying fleece blankets, and/or sewing quilt blocks together from 10 AM to 4 PM. Bring a friend and a snack! For more information on how to join Project Linus please contact Fran McKay, Northern Nevada Project Linus coordinator at 775-846-2583.
We have had several requests to teach some beginning quilt patterns, so we have decided to use the BQ series by Maple Island Quilts. We will begin with BQ1 on February 20, 2015. Class Cost is $20.00, which includes the pattern. Fabrics sold separately. We will continue with BQ2 in March, BQ3 in April, and finish up with BQ4 in May. Please contact the shop at 775-835-0558 to sign up for the class. Seating is limited.
