At the October board meeting, a motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to retain the current assessment of $50 per month.

Coupons for 2018 will be mailed before the Thanksgiving break. Those owners currently on direct debit will not receive coupons, but will receive the annual letter.

ANNUAL MEETING ELECTION OF TWO DIRECTORS

Two Directors will be elected for a three-year term at our Annual Meeting on January 11, 2018. If you are interested in running for one of these positions please complete the form on Page 3 and return it to the management office on or before November 15, 2017.

Jeremy Phillips, Road and Bridge Director of Pct. 2 will be the speaker at our meeting to let us know what plans Pct. 2 may have for our community and surrounding area for 2018.

AMENITY CARDS

NPOA Amenity Cards expire on December 31st of the year issued. You will need a current amenity card to access the following:

Resident Discount for Golf

The new or renewal charge is $25 per household for the first card and $5 for each additional card. Please bring your 2017 card to the management company to have it punched for 2018.

Boat launch fees will remain at $25 for 2018; however, we will not issue boat launch permits until repairs have been completed at the lake and a determination has been made at the river.

(found at www.newportpoa.com under resident documents) for ALL exterior improvements.

THE GOLF COURSE IS OPERATED AS A FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION UNDER THE NAME OF

STONEBRIDGE AT NEWPORT WITH THE NEWPORT PROPERTY OWNER’S ASSOCIATION (“NPOA”) BEING ITS ONLY SHAREHOLDER.

SAFETY IS OF PRIMARY CONCERN TO THE NPOA AND ITS MEMBERS. THE GOLF COURSE (HOLES ONE

THROUGH 18) ALONG WITH THE CART PATHS ARE FOR PAID GOLFERS ONLY. NEWPORT RESIDENTS WHO ARE NOT PAID GOLFERS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE GOLF COURSE

These Golf Course Rules were adopted by the Board of Directors at a meeting held on November 9, 2016.

SPICED PECANS Ingredients 1 egg white, lightly beaten 1 tablespoon water 3 cups pecan halves 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions Preheat oven to 250 degrees F . Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. In a small bowl beat the egg white with the water. Stir in the pecans, mixing until well moistened. In a small bowl, mix together sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Sprinkle over the moistened nuts. Spread nuts on prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, stir, then bake for an additional 20 minutes.

CHRISTMAS TREE PULL-APART

Ingredients 1 can (13.8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated arti-san pizza crust with whole grain or Pills-bury® refrigerated regular pizza crust 4 oz, or half brick, cream cheese 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Italian blend shredded cheese 2 tablespoons butter 1 clove garlic, minced very fine 3 tablespoons freshly chopped basil and rosemary 1 cup warmed marinara sauce for dipping

Directions Heat oven to 400°. Lay pizza dough on a work surface and stretch to a 10 x 15 inch size. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 36 equal squares.

In a small bow, combine cream cheese and shredded cheese. Mix well. Add one table-spoon of the cheese mixture to each dough square. Make a ball with the dough, sealing the edges.

Place on a cookie sheet in a Christmas tree form as shown in the photos above. Bake for 15 - 17 minutes, or until golden brown.

After removing pull-apart from the oven, brush with butter and sprinkle with chopped herbs.

Serve pull-apart with marinara sauce.
