I LOVE BABIES

As a newborn photographer, I strive to capture those first few weeks and turn the resulting images into a work of fine art to be treasured forever. Newborn photography requires a large amount of planning and an insane amount of patience, and you’ll be happy to know I am fairly good at both :)

PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

BABIES ARE BEST PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE FIRST

10 DAYS OF THEIR NEW LITTLE LIVES

Once you decide to schedule a session with me, we will set a tentative date based on your due date.

I understand that babies rarelycome when predicted and I will accommodate their personal plans accommodate their personal plans for arrival.

But a due date will give us a base line. Once your infant is born, please get in touch with me and we will firm up our date and time.

They sleep better, don’t have colic They sleep better, don’t have colic yet, and usually haven’t started developing baby acne or cradle cap within the 10 day range. If you are a c-section Mom, we can work out something out.

I know that recovery can be slow and painful. Some of my clients and painful. Some of my clients send baby to the Studio with Dad.

Once you arrive I will give you some time in my studio to feed and sooth your baby.I start my sessions by going over what I have pulled out for your sessionand making sure you like everything..

After that we will move on to some relationship poses with Mom, Dad, and Siblings after which I will move on after which I will move on to photographing your newborn in the setups that wehave chosen.

Now you can go home and relax and dream about all the beautiful images that will soon be yours. I go through the images from your session and select the best. Once I have the “final cut” selected I edit everything for color and exposure,I edit everything for color and exposure, and give it my signature”look”. I upload them onto n online gallery, and email you with all the information. Then I have you pick out your amount offavorites that came with your package and have you message me when that hard part all done ;) Then I edit your hard part all done ;) Then I edit your favorite for any blemishes, etc... My rule for retouching, is anything that won’t be there in two weeks get retouched... unless specified by you :) I personally love the little white bumbs, and all the things that make a newborn special and precious. Your images will be ready for online viewing Your images will be ready for online viewing within two weeks, and final images a week after you pick them out. Then you will havewonderful, precious images to remind youof the innocence of your newborn, and youhave documented in a beautiful, meaningful way what those first few days of life were like. BLISS! of life were like. BLISS!

Make sure the room or rooms are warm. ( If we do the shoot at your lcoation). Your baby will usually have their clothes off for most of the session so it needs to be extra warm.

Have room or rooms where the baby will be photographed tidy and clutter free please. clutter free please.

Try to keep baby up a couple hours before the session. I Pretty much want a tired, cranky baby, and as much as it hurts us to do that- it makes it easier for you during the session, and ensures a much quicker pace.

You should wear lightweight breathable clothing since it will be very warm where we are shooting. If you would like to be in some of the photographs we will shoot those first before you get disheveled or sweaty due to the warmth in the room for your little one.sweaty due to the warmth in the room for your little one.

Your hands may be shown in some photos. Please have nails trimmed and clean.

Turn off phones or any other distractions during the photo shoot.

Try to have atleast one other person there with you during the shoot to help.Sessions can often get long and tiring for all involved.

Have water on hand…newborn sessions make you thirsty!!

Before feeding baby, remove all clothes and socks. Unfasten diaper Before feeding baby, remove all clothes and socks. Unfasten diaper so it can be easily removed and wrap baby in blanket. This will help eliminate any creases or red marks on the baby’s body.

“ As a fellow photographer, I know what to look for in a quality artisan, and Brianna has it. She has the sweetest, most laid back personality, but isn't afraid to take charge and help you create the most amazing shots. She has a vision and style that is beautifully unique and not something you will likely see from another local photographer. will likely see from another local photographer. Worth every single cent, and then some....”

“I just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate all the special moments you capture. We are truly blessed to know you as a friend and as a photographer. I cannot express how truly grateful Kirk and I feel to have you 'catch' the perfect and have you 'catch' the perfect and most precious moments. You capture our world, if that makes any sense!”
