USE OF FOAMGLAS ® FOAMGLAS ® W+F ® Slab is the ideal insulation for use on exterior walls as it can be applied directly to the existing external wall surface. For both new build and renovation, it provides an excellent insulation performance when used with façade/rainscreen in metal, glass, timber or stone. FOAMGLAS ® W+F ® Slab is totally impervious to water and water-vapour; as many rainscreen systems have open joints, use of FOAMGLAS ® ensures that moisture will not affect the insulation ensuring that insulation values remain constant. The wall construction can be either with or without an airspace and FOAMGLAS ® , being rigid and dimensionally stable, will not shrink or sag. The system is simple to install, minimises cold bridges and as it is totally non-combustible, cannot contribute to fire nor give off toxic fumes or smoke; it is also totally free from HCFC, HFC and pentane. FOAMGLAS ® W + F ® SLAB WALLS I NSULATION OF EXTERNAL WALLS WITH FAÇADE, RAINSCREEN AND CLADDING NEW BUILD OR RENOVATION APPLICATIONS For thermal insulation of vertical substrates of concrete, brick and profiled metal. External cladding can be one of the following: Aluminium or steel rainscreen Glass curtain walling Timber cladding Stone or tile cladding Profiled steel or aluminium PRELIMINARY CONDITIONS The wall construction has to be sufficiently solid and in sound condition in order to allow adhesive bonding of the insulation slab. Any expansion or movement joints present in the supporting structure of the building must be continued with an expansion joint through the thermal insulation. CELLULAR GLASS INSULATION PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE The wall construction of concrete, brick or profiled steel should be in sound condition and any irregularities in the surface should not exceed 5mm over 2m. For renovation where the wall is in poor condition, a render should be applied or the selection of adhesive thickness adjusted to meet the tolerances. STRING QUARTET

With its dynamic performing style, eloquent communication and beautiful sound the New Zealand String Quartet has forged a major career in the busy international chamber music field, earning the acclaim of critics and the delighted response of audiences. The Quartet has particularly distinguished itself through imaginative and unique programming, including cycles of composers‚ music from Mozart to Berg, and through the development of an international audience for important new works from New Zealand and Pacific Rim composers. Career highlights have included acclaimed debuts in London at Wigmore Hall and in New York at the prestigious Frick Collection, and the curation and performance of a landmark series at King’s Place in London.

International festival tours have taken the group to the United States and Canada twice annually for many seasons, as well as to Mexico, Korea, Australia, Scotland, Germany and the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and an exciting new collaborative project in Beijing.

Much-loved by audiences in New Zealand, the engaging musicians of that country’s premier chamber ensemble present some forty concerts there each year, and run the bi-annual Adam Chamber Music Festival.

On disc, the New Zealand String Quartet’s extensive discography includes the complete quartets of Felix Mendelssohn for Naxos and landmark recordings of works by Asian and New Zealand composers, many of which have been premiered by the ensemble. In addition the quartet has recorded many discs of standard repertoire including Bartók, Ravel, Debussy, Beethoven, Dvorák, Berg and Wolf. The complete quartets of Brahms are slated as its next release on the Naxos label. The ensemble’s many collaborations with internationally renowned artists have recently included Frans Helmerson, James Campbell, Piers Lane, Nobuko Imai, Peter Nágy and Katherine Chi.

“the Kiwis rivaled the excellence of leading international string quartets... The ensemble was cohesive, the energy positive.” Cleveland Plain Dealer “This concert opened with Mendelssohn’s Capriccio, given a performance both stern and exhilarating, with clearly delineated contrapuntal lines. Jack Body’s Three Transcriptions for string quartet were tremendous fun... the third a manic Bulgarian dance, complete with foot stamping, all played with terrific verve and precision.” The Strad “stunning musicianship over the course of three challenging quartets... a truly inspired performance” Classical Voice North Carolina “The quartet had the virtuosity... and the wit” Minneapolis Star-Tribune “String lovers might be forgiven these days if they think they’ve died and gone to Quartet Heaven after yesterday’s concert by the New Zealand String Quartet... profoundly beautiful.” Ottawa Citizen
