ITINERARY
Day 1 - Home City ~ Manhattan ~ Hotel Edison ~ Welcome Dinner ~ Broadway
Show: Depart by motor coach for New York City. Rest and meal stops will be made en
route. Later this afternoon we arrive in the Big Apple and to Hotel Edison for a
memorable two-night stay. Built in 1931 in the same grand Art Deco style as Radio City
Music Hall, the Hotel Edison is situated in one of the most dynamic sections of New
York City. Centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, Hotel Edison is just steps from
Times Square, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall,
shopping and dining. An exciting place to stay in the heart of New York City! This
evening we gather for a special dinner at a local restaurant. Afterwards, enjoy reserved
theater seating at a Broadway musical show in the Times Square area.
Day 2 - New York City Sights ~ Ellis Island ~ Statue of Liberty National Monument: This morning we enjoy breakfast and then embark on a delightful guided tour of
Manhattan. Journey through the heart of Midtown past St. Patrick Cathedral, Rockefeller
Plaza and the Empire State Building. Continue into Lower Manhattan to Battery Park
and board a ferry for the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island. The
United States received the statue from France in 1884 in commemoration of the two
countries’ alliance during the American Revolution. Ellis Island was the nation’s main
point of entry for millions of immigrants between 1892-1954. Engraved on the stainless
steel panels of the American Immigrant Wall of Honor are the names of nearly 400,000
immigrants. This evening is free to explore Midtown on your own.
Day 3: New York City ~ 911 Memorial ~ Journey Home: Today we visit the new 911
Memorial and see the progress of the New Freedom Tower. Travel through the heart of
the financial district past Wall Street and the Stock Exchange. Following a lunch break
we leave the Big Apple and begin our journey home. Rest and meal stops will be made
periodically.
