Thesis

The thing that saves a church from becoming a machine that turns into a monument is when a man called of God starts another movement.

Point 1

The all-consuming desire of Jesus was to enable and empower all people to learn and to love the truth, and the hunger of his heart was to enable people to allow the word of God to do the work of grace in their life.

Definition

A parable (Greek: παραβολή) is a fictitious story from common life conveying a moral truth.

Point 2

The purpose of parables is to give those who are born again and have the Holy Spirit a memory device that will explain God‘s mysteries in such a way they can learn and live divine truth.

Health always results in growth.

To rest on the status quo is to resist revival, and condemn the lost we should be reaching to existing in their unsaved condition.

We cannot make growth happen, but we can create the environment in which it will occur, so what we must do is go, sow, and let the word of God do the work in the soil of lost souls.

The challenge is to take people who have closed their hearts because they are trying to avoid hurt, and water it with love in such a way they are not closed to the hope of healing through Bible principles.
