Before you can effectively intercede for others – You must have a consistent lifestyle of prayer.– You must have a consistent lifestyle of studying
the Word– You must consistently commune with God.– You must understand the urgency of the time. 1
Peter 4:7– You must walk in and pursue a life of holiness.– You must believe/trust God.

Prayer
Prayer is simply communicating with God.
Communication is essential for any growing relationship,
including our relationship with God. Prayer is our means
of communicating with God.
WHO
In whose name should I pray?

We should always pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

What do I need to do in order for the Lord to hear my prayers?

• Confess my sin - Psalms 56:18
• Obey God - 1 John 3:22-24
• Believe/Trust God - John 7:11
WHAT
• Are your requests lined up with God’s desires?
• What are God’s desires?
• Jesus said “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto.”
• YOU MUST STAY IN THE WORD OF GOD TO KNOW WHAT GOD’S DESIRES ARE.

How do I know my prayers will be answered?

• OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME
This is Worship & Adoration.

• THY KINGDOM COME THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
This is a request that lines up with
God’s will and desires.

• GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD
(prayer of provision,contentment and faith)
THE PRAYER THE LORD TAUGHT US.
• AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS
(we must forgive and ask for forgiveness)

• AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
(we cannot overcome evil without the Lord)

has been given.

today. What do you want me to take from this experience. Ask God to speak to you. Tell God that you are listening.
