¿Qué son? Yo go verbs are verbs that change to a –go ending in the
yo form.
These verbs are only irregular in the YO form
One example of this is the verb tener
Yo tengo
Tú tienes
Él/ella/ud. tiene
Nosotros tenemos
Vosotros tenéis
Ellos/ellas/uds tienen
¿Cuáles son? Today we are going to learn about 5 more “yo go” verbs.
They are:
Hacer
Poner
Traer
Salir
Venir
Hacer – to do/to make Yo hago
Tú haces
Él/ella/ud hace
Nosotros hacemos
Vosotros hacéis
Ellos/ellas/uds. Hacen
Again – hacer is only different in the YO form
Poner – to put or to place Yo pongo
Tú pones
Él/ella/ud. pone
Nosotros ponemos
Vosotros ponéis
Ellos/ellas/uds. Ponen
Traer – to bring Yo traigo
Tú traes
Él/ella/ud. trae
Nosotros traemos
Vosotros traéis
Ellos/ellas/uds. traen
Salir – to leave Yo salgo
Tú sales
Él/ella/ud. sale
Nosotros salimos
Vosotros salís
Ellos/ellas/uds. salen
Venir* – to come Venir is slightly different. Although it is a “yo go” verb,
it conjugates just like tener.
Yo vengo
Tú vienes
Él/ella/ud. viene
Nosotros venimos
Vosotros venís
Ellos/ellas/uds. vienen
Repaso Yo go verbs change only the YO form. Every other form
of the verb conjugates normally.
The only exception to this is venir, which conjugates like tener.
Translate My family is big. We are 30 people in my family! My
parents are young. I have two sisters and three brothers. We like to practice sports. Our grandparents live in California. They go out to different restaurants and in the summer I go out with them. It is fun! My sisters are annoying but we do many things together.
