• Quickly taken up by leaves, stems, roots • Effects within a few hours to a few days

– First: Bending, twisting of stems and leaves – Advanced: Severe necrosis, stem thickening, growth

stunting, leaf crinkling, calloused stems and leaf veins, leaf-cupping, enlarged roots

• Death of treated broadleaf weeds may require several weeks

• Death of treated woody plant species may require several months
