Recent growth of events and fundraising activities require strategic coordination

Opportunity to organize and prioritize Board Development efforts

Caveat: Committee needs to be additive, not duplicative or creating extra work

Purpose

Foster and facilitate Board fundraising activities

Coordinate Board Development efforts--“asks” and donor relationships

Augment/relieve staff development responsibilities

Support anticipated Growth Campaign

Composition

Chairs of major event and fund raising committees Paving the Way Major Donor CFO of the Year Corporate Committee Marketing Committee Corporate Leadership Breakfast (at this

time part of Corporate Committee) Golf Tournament Friends of Larkin Street Growth Campaign (TBD)

Functional Overview

Prioritize and allocate resources. Facilitate Board donor cultivation. Place for Committee chairs to share

and coordinate goals. Committee chairs identify areas where

they need help, and/or where there is overlap.

Vehicle for committee chairs to become more aware of the various Development strategies.
