THE ANTRIM WAYThe Causeway Coast Hike explores one of the most beautiful sections ofIreland’s northern coast. Boasting the fabulous Glens of Antrim, the Giant’sCauseway, fantastic castles & beautiful beaches – to say nothing of a wonderfuldistillery – it is a place that is a pleasure to discover.

This way-marked trail passes rugged and windswept cliffs, spectacular sceneryand fabulous unspoiled beaches.

DAY 1, HIKE ARRIVE IN BALLYCATLEYou begin your holiday on the first evening with arrival in Ballycastle

DAY 2, HIKE FAIR HEAD LOOPThis hike takes you around the magnificent coastal route of Murlough and Fair Head. The path hugs the coast with dramatic cliff drops. If it is a misty day with poor visibility there are several looped walks from the car park at Fair Head Farm that can be enjoyed instead. Overnight in Ballycastle.

Walk Details: Approx. Distance – 7.80km | Height gain - 333m | Height loss -34m | Max Height - 210

Terrain: Gravel tracks, with some road walking, with some sections that can be rocky & uneven. Can be wet underfoot – boots essential.

DAY 3, HIKE THE GIANTS CAUSEWAY & DEPARTToday you will be taken by taxi to Larrybane visitor centre and the famous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. The bridge spans an 80 foot deep chasm that renders Carrick-a-Rede island, a must for every visitor. Then it is only a short distance by the coastal path to the little village of Ballintoy, a fantastic little harbour at the foot of the cliffs. Next you will come to the beautiful strand of White Park Bay, then on to Portbraddan & Ireland’s tiniest church. Continue to the ruins of Dunseverick Castle and on to the Giant’s Causeway. From here call your taxi to transfer back to BAllycastle for departure.

Walk Details: Approx. Distance – 16.00km | Height gain - 759m | Height loss - 747m | Max Height - 100m. Terrain: Grass tracks and open cliff tops with some beach walking. Boots recommended.

Ireland Walk Hike Bike Ltd (“the Company”) formerly trading as South West WalksIreland, accepts bookings subject to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. The contract is between the Company and the client, being any person travelling orintending to travel on a tour/ holiday operated by the company. The contract, including allmatters arising from it, is subject to Irish law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irishcourts.

A booking is accepted and becomes definite only from the date when the company sendsa confirmation. It is at this point that a contract between the company and the clientcomes into existence. Before your booking is confirmed and comes into existence thecompany reserves the right to increase or decrease published prices. The company ortheir agents reserve the right to decline any booking at their discretion.

2. To secure a booking the Company or their agent requires a completed Booking Formand the necessary deposit. (Full payment if travel is within 30 days). The first namedclient must be over 18 years of age. Clients booking by telephone, by website/E-mail orfax will be deemed to have signed the Booking Form and read and accepted our BookingConditions. The person signing, or being deemed to sign, the Booking Form warrants thathe/she has full authority to do so on behalf of all persons whose names appear thereon,and confirms that all such persons are fully aware of and accept these Conditions. Pleasenote that your deposit is non-refundable.

3. The balance of all monies due, including any surcharges applicable at the time, mustbe paid to the company or their agents not later than 56 days before departure. In thecase of non-payment of the balance by the due date the Company reserves the right tocancel your booking and cancellation charges will apply. If any payment is dishonouredwe reserve the right to charge €45 per person to cover administration costs.

4. Travel Insurance is mandatory for all clients whilst on a tour/ holiday organised by theCompany. Clients are wholly responsible for arranging their own insurance. Clients areresponsible for ensuring that they are in possession of private Travel insurance withprotection for the full duration of the tour/ holiday in respect of at least medical expenses,injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, with adequate cover.

We require proof that you have as a minimum, Personal Liability Insurance Cover at timeof booking. This is for your own protection & very often forms part of your HouseholdInsurance.
