Laptops Tablets 2 in1 & Smart phones

1 Device Types: Around the room you’ll see many different types of devices. They all do the same task but in different ways, similar to how we might all drive cars but they are different depending on the cost and brand of the vehicle.

Primarily, there are 3 different devices people will be using; laptops, tablets and smartphones.

2 Laptops: Laptops are the most traditional of the 3 types of devices being used. They have a large screen opposite a QWERTY keyboard. They open at the hinge and are the heaviest of the 3 devices. There are many different brands including Acer, Toshiba, Hewlett Packard and many more.

3 Tablets: Tablets look like a laptop except without the keyboard. This portable screen can come in many different sizes. They often have cameras that can be used for video calling using apps like Skype. Companies that make tablets include Apple, Samsung, Lenovo and many more. Often people confuse iPads with tablets. Apple iPads are a kind of tablet in the same way that Dyson’s are kinds of Vacuum Cleaners.

To use tablets to their full advantage you will need to download apps from your tablets ‘App Store’. These are often free and can allow you to book train tickets, find directions from A to B and even buy a house!

Android: is a mobile operating system which is found on a variety of modern devices, the most popular being smartphones. On top of that, you'll also find Android on tablets, TV streaming boxes and other portable gadgets.

Android is basically a piece of software which allows your hardware to function. The Android OS gives you access to apps, including many of Google's own creation.

App Store: The store allows users to browse and download apps developed with Apple's iOS software development kit. Apps can be downloaded on the iPhone smartphone, the iPod Touch handheld computer, the iPad tablet computer, and to the Apple Watch smartwatch and 4th-generation or newer Apple TV as extensions of iPhone apps.

Free Apps are totally free and there are thousands.In app purchases mean that its free to a point.Purchase Apps require payment.

Google Play Store: Is the official app store for the Android operating system,

allowing users to browse and download applications.

Amazon App store: The Amazon Appstore for Android is an app store for the Android operating system operated by Amazon.com.

Smartphones: Smartphones, similarly to tablets, are portable devices that are interactive and accessible. They come in different sizes but not as wide a range as tablets and laptops. They have all the fixtures and fittings of a tablet but also allow you to text and call friends and family.

When using a smartphone, you’ll need a SIM card. A SIM card allows you to call and text people using your individual mobile phone number and allows you to use data when travelling. This differs from tablets as they often don’t have a SIM card and require a Wi-Fi network to connect to access the internet.
