Program Objectives

A.M. Portion of Program Three Hands-On Enrichment Classes, One hour each

• One Literacy class • One Science Enrichment class • Reading for All class (Bay Shore, Comsewogue, Connetquot)• Integrated Learning class (Bayport-Blue Point)

Half day students dismissed at noon

P.M. Portion of Program (optional)• Arts and Crafts • Classroom Activities • Outdoor Recreation/Indoor Physical Education• Recreation Swimming

Programs differ in some areas, but ALL contain science and literacy classes.

Sample Program Schedule

One teacher and one counselor in each class for enrichment periods

All teachers are NYS certified and cleared by the NYS Department of Education

Counselors are college students majoring in education or paraprofessionals employed by our district

Classes are usually limited to 20 students

Educational Directors are at each site

Nurses are assigned at 3 sites
