SMS USERSTEP BY STEP

The following presentation will provide a brief synopsis of the key functions of the FltPlan.com

FRAT system and your SMS program.

After logging in to FltPlan.com, click Premium Services on the left side of the Main Menu page. You will see SMS and FRAT options.

Tip: You can add SMS and/or FRATS to your Favorites to have it appear at the top of the page for everyone. See how to below.

Tip: You can set Favorites to appear at the top of the FltPlan.com main page every time someone logs in, making flight planning easier.

Clicking the FRAT button will bring you to your FRAT Listing page.

The Current FRAT Listing includes FRATS for all active flight plans you have created on FltPlan.com

You can also create a FRAT for a potential flight without creating a flight plan

When you select a FRAT, the airport information and weather will appear on the right side of the page to assist you in choosing scores.

Hazards selected for the flight are highlighted in yellow. We will automatically select hazards that exist

for the selected pilot(s) or airports

FRAT scores are automatically totaled

The total FRAT score must not exceed the maximum limit.

Pilots can add notes to a FRAT before saving and submitting it

The SMS Dashboard displays your Current FRATs and Open Risks.

Company documents - policies, checklists, manuals, etc. - can be uploaded and accessed from Policy/Documents on the Dashboard.

Select the file you wish to upload

Enter a file name and description

Select a category for the file

Select an authorization level – only users at or

above that level will be able to access the document

Uploading a Document

Click Upload File

After uploading, the file will appear in your document list.

Click Download File to view the document

From the Main Menu page, click SMS to access your SMS Dashboard.

On the Safety Risk Management page, users can report accidents or incidents, report a hazardous condition or assess risks for future

processes.

Reported issues are displayed at the bottom of the page and can be sorted by department, type, status and/or date

Issues can be reported anonymously

Reporter can add comments or suggest a fix for the issue in the Narrative

Risks can be selected for modification.

Click Safety Risk Management from the top menu of the dashboard to start.

Different departments, issues, and dates ranges

can be selected at the top of the page.

Managers can provide a corrective action or assign the issue to another employee

Managers determine the risk level of an issue based on its severity and

likelihood of occurrence

Users can input additional comments or suggestions

Modify an Issue

Issues can be modified from the Dashboard by clicking Select next to the issue

Open risks will also appear on your Dashboard.

Green = acceptable riskYellow = acceptable with mitigation

Red = unacceptable riskGrey = closed

Click Safety Promotion or My Training on the Dashboard to see your company’s training and currency events or share information.

You will be alerted to new Training Events or Messages on your Dashboard.
