Libraries, Burlington Parks & Recreation and JobLink/Employment Security. Our goals for this event are:

opportunities in our community and nearby;
• To motivate students to begin serious planning and preparation for life after high school BEFORE
the 12th grade;
• To instill in students and their families that the opportunities represented at the Expo are
achievable by everyone and
• To highlight the skills and technology our students need to be successful in 21st century jobs and
careers.”

Shout Out to North Graham Again!
AP Tiffany Cheshire shared news about this successful family event: “On Thursday night, North
Graham Elementary hosted a Multi-
Cultural Night to celebrate and learn
about different countries. We had a
great turnout of 250 people!
Each class or grade level had one country
that they had to research and have a
presentation about. Some classes chose
to do displays, others made food, and
some classes even made videos. Our
Kindergarten and 2nd grade teams even
had a live performance in the gym and a
5th grade class held live sports
demonstrations. La Cocina gave us a great deal and donated some food- our families and staff
loved it!”
